Tablet Magazine is an American Jewish general interest magazine sponsored by Nextbook. [1] Launched in June 2009, it is the successor magazine to Nextbook (2003-2009)

The editor is Alana Newhouse, the former culture editor of The Forward. [2] [3]

In December 2009, Nextbook, INC, Tablet's parent company, announced a strategic partnership with JDub.[4] According to the JTA: "Under the partnership, the two organizations will remain separate and will still produce their own records and books and cultural materials, but JDub will essentially become Nextbook’s in-house marketing and PR department."
