The New York Academy of Art or Graduate School of Figurative Art is a private, not-for-profit art university in New York, New York. Founded by a group of individuals including Andy Warhol in 1982,[1] the Academy offers instruction in figurative arts and art history.[2] It provides continuing education opportunities as well as a degree-path curriculum. On successful completion of a two-year program, it bestows on qualified students the Master of Fine Arts degree with concentrations in drawing, painting and sculpture.
