Reading your meter

We may have left a card at your property for you to read the meter or you may wish to advise us of your current reading.

Enter your meter reading here

Please note:

You will need:
1. The numbers from the black dials of your meter.
2. The serial number of the meter. This is usually stamped on the body of the meter near the dials.
3. Your property/account number. This is found on the top-right corner of your last Sydney Water bill.

Sydney Water relies on accurate and timely meter readings to make sure you are billed correctly for the water that you use.

It is your responsibility to allow access to our meter readers so they can record your water use.

Your meter may be inaccessible because of a locked gate, an overgrown garden or construction work. If we can't get access to your water meter we may ask you to read it on our behalf, otherwise we will have to make an estimate of your use.

The fact sheet, About your water meter (PDF - 81KB) contains Information about your water meter, how to read it and how to check for leaks.
