The BPI offers its membership a wide range of services, all designed to help your business. From the moment you join, you have access to all the expertise and facilities offered by the BPI to its existing 400+ members and associate member companies.
Directly relevant to your business needs, the BPI offers:

- Generous registration discounts and travel grants for attendance at international trade fairs
- Sponsored trade trips to Japan & America
- Access to industry wide agreements as negotiated by the BPI on behalf of the entire membership
- Fully qualified legal guidance ranging from direct help on piracy in all its forms, to wider protection against illegal trading and merchandising
The BPI also initiates industry wide PR and Public Affairs campaigns on important issues concerning members, publishes regular authoritative statistical research reports and is a joint venture partner in the Official UK Charts Company OCC).
Members are also automatically enrolled in the Brit Awards voting academy and can apply for reduced price ticketing for the event itself.
Full membership is for record companies that either own or exclusively license UK sound recording copyrights. Because of the current economic challenges, the BPI is offering a 10% discount on independent membership subscriptions, making the fee £67.50 plus 5% of PPL UK distribution payments, plus VAT.
Associate membership is for companies that do not own nor exclusively license UK sound recording copyrights. The membership rate is £500 plus VAT.
