    The Metros To Support The View On UK Tour

    Hotly tipped London quintet the Metros have been confirmed as the support for The View’s upcoiming UK tour.

    They will join them for four shows in total including their gig at the Astoria in London on December 10.

    The band will also be playing the 1965 Records’ Christmas Party on December 8 as well as the already confirmed supports slots for Milburn this month.

    The Metros’ December tour dates are:

    Leeds, Cockpit – December 3

    London, Koko – 7

    London, Astoria – 10

    I Was A Cub Scout Ask Fans To Record B-Side

    I Was A Cub Scout have announced plans to give their fans a chance to appear on the B-side to their next single.

    Drummer William Bowerman said: "We heard a bunch of interesting cover versions of 'Pink Squares' on the internet, kids with acoustic guitars or kids remixing the song, so we thought it'd be ace to offer them the chance to be on our single."

    The Courteeners Announce Massive UK Tour

    The Courteeners have announced a huge UK tour for January/February and details of their next single.

    The hotly tipped Manchester band will play twenty one dates in total starting in Preston and finishing up in Dundee.

    They’re yet to announce a hometown show as part of the tour although they are playing two shows at the Apollo and Ritz in Manchester during December.

    They will release their next single ‘What Took You So Long’ on January 14 which with recorded with producer Stephen Street.

    Tickets for the 2008 tour go on sale at 9am on Thursday (November 22) and will be available via Gigwise.

    The dates are:

    Preston, 53 Degrees – January 16

    Warrington, Parr Hall – 18

    Nottingham, Rescue Rooms – 21

    Tunbridge Wells, Forum – 26

    Cat The Dog Escape Serious Car Crash

    Cat The Dog escaped a serious collision with another vehicle last night (November 18th) as they were travelling to play a gig.

    The band were driving to Southampton when a car hit their van from behind, causing their vehicle to flip on its side.

    According to a spokesperson, the band had to escape through a window after being thrown from their seats.

    It’s understood that none of the band were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident. 

    "Despite having whiplash, the band escaped relatively unscathed and were still able to play their show with Zico Chain," the spokesperson added.

    Los Campesinos! Announce February UK Tour

    Los Campesinos! have announced a fresh tour of the UK and Ireland that will see them play nine dates in February.

    The 2008 jaunt will kick off in Dublin at the village and finish up on England’s south coast at the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth.

    The band are also believed to planning a special show in their adopted hometown of Cardiff.

    The tour will coincide with the band’s debut album which is set to be called ‘Hold On Now, Youngster…’

    Vampire Weekend Reveal Debut Album Details

    Vampire Weekend have revealed the full details of their highly anticipated debut album which is out next year.

    The much tipped New York quartet release the record on February 25 via XL and precede it with the single ‘A-Punk’ on February 18.

    The album was self produced by band member Rostam Batmanglij and features eleven tracks recorded in various locations around the band’s home city.

    Black Kids To Play Debut UK Dates

    Much hyped Florida band Black Kids have announced their first ever dates in the UK after storming this year’s CMJ in New York.

    The Jacksonville five piece will fly over in December to plat four dates in London, one being in support of The Warlocks while another is with Of Montreal.

    Don’t worry those outside of London, more shows outside of the capital are expected to be announced.

    So far the date are:
