    I Was A Cub Scout Announce New Album Details

    I Was A Cub Scout are set to release their debut album ‘I Want You To Know That There Is Always Hope’ at the beginning of next year.

    Produced by Grammy award winning Hugh Padgham, the album is in its final stages of mixing and will include the singles ‘Our Smallest Adventures’, ‘Pink Squares’ and ‘Part 2’.

    The band are currently on tour supporting Kill Hannah and Forward Russia and will make an appearance at a couple of festivals later in the year.

    Kid Harpoon Readies Full UK Tour

    Kid Harpoon has announced details of his new EP and a headline UK tour for next month.

    ‘The First EP’ is set to feature tracks not available on his forthcoming debut album and includes ‘Milkmaid’ as the leading track.

    The London artist is currently on tour with The Wombats and The Holloways and will go it alone with his band The Powers That Be for a headline tour in October.

    The Wombats Ready Christmas Tour

    The Wombats have announced details of their biggest UK tour dates yet, taking place this December.

    The eleven date stint includes a massive show at London’s KOKO and the first ever gig to be held at the Ulverston Coronation Hall in the Lake District.

    Preceding the tour dates, the Liverpool outfit will release their excellently titled album ‘The Wombats Proudly Present… A Guide To Love, Loss and Desperation’ on October 26. Two weeks earlier their new single ‘Let’s Dance To Joy Division’ hits the shelves.

    Tickets for the tour dates go on sale this Friday (September 21) at 9am. As always, you can get them through Gigwise.

    Manchester Orchestra To Support Kings Of Leon

    Manchester Orchestra are set to support Kings Of Leon on their upcoming UK tour.

    Although the five piece band have only been around for two years they have been given the honour to support the Nashville rockers as they showcase their new album ‘Because Of The Times’.

    Before the support slots, the band will also play UK dates for their own headline tour at the end of month.

    Hadouken! To Release USB Mixtape Album

    Hadouken! have announced plans to release a mixtape mini-album on November 12th.

    The unique album, entitled, 'Not Here To Please You,' will be released exclusively on USB memory stick, and will feature six new songs, as well as a host of the band’s remixes.

    As well as a new version of, ‘Liquid Lives,’ the album will also feature a remix of Bloc Party’s, ‘The Prayer.’

    The band will offer fans a taster of what to expect from the mixtape by releasing another new song via their website on November 5th.

    Ra Ra Riot To Support Editors On UK Tour

    Ra Ra Riot will support Editors on their forthcoming UK Tour it’s been announced.

    The UK shows throughout October will be the second time this year that the band have supported Editors – they’re currently on tour with the band in America.

    The tour will also coincide with the release of the band’s new single, ‘Dying Is Fine,’ which comes out on October 15th.

    Following the tragic death of their drummer, John Pike, earlier this year, the band are currently playing live with Cameron Wisch.

    The only dates on Editors tour the band will not feature on are October 18-20, when they travel to Iceland to play the Iceland Airwaves Festival.

    The Whip Announce New Tour And Single

    The Whip have announced details of their new single and a supporting tour with Hadouken! and Late Of The Pier, plus a full UK headline tour.

    The band are currently in the studio with Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys/Kasabian) working on their album after signing a record deal with Southern Fried records.

    ‘Sister Siam’ will be released November 12 to coincide with the bands headline tour.

    The Delta Fiasco Announce Debut Single Details

    Long time Gigwise favourites The Delta Fiasco have announced details of their debut single due out next month.

    The Liverpool based trio will release ‘Paperhouse’ via Los Angeles label Smoke And Mirrors on October 15.

    The single will come as a 7” and 12” vinyl plus a download will also be available. The band are planning to release an EP and debut album in 2008.

    The Delta Fiasco have a number of live commitments around the UK over the next few months, the dates are:
