Summary

Garry's Mod is a commercial Half Life 2 mod started by Garry Newman and his company, Facepunch Studios/Team Garry.

Garry's Mod allows players to make modifications to itself with a modified Lua scripting language. These vary from new weapons, to computers with their own customisable operating system.

Garry's Mod needs at least one Source Engine game, such as Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2 or Half Life 2.

Current status

Garry's Mod is still being actively developed by Garry and many others. Many Addons are still made.
