Great work putting the Law project together. I'll help on California and maybe some other states. Calgal 15:37, 20 March 2008 (EDT)

To all active contributors: I've made a template to put on the pages of ballot measures that will not appear on the ballot. To apply it, you type {{no}} at the beginning of the article.

I am also encouraging everyone to remove category tags at the bottom of 2008 articles that say "2008 ballot measures" and "NAME OF STATE ballot measures" and replace those with these category tags:

  • [[Category:Did not make ballot in Idaho]]
  • [[Category:Did not make ballot in 2008]]

Both of those categories will become subcategories of the bigger categories.

Why did I do this?

  • I believe it is helpful to the reader to immediately see at a glance that a ballot measure is not going to be on the ballot.
  • The Category:2008 ballot measures category has nearly 600 articles in it right now--most of which will not actually be on the ballot. If we take out the ones that aren't going to be on the ballot, we make the category more meaningful.

Please check it out and see if you agree with the change.January 15:28, 2 July 2008 (EDT)

I have already been putting a lot of time in on the I&R Law pages. I was working on the Florida Law pages when I saw your message about this project. I've finished 3 states so far (Nevada, Colorado, and Washington). They can be pretty time consuming, especially since on each of the 4 states I've tackled so far, I have found glaring errors, which leads me to go back to square one and get all the facts directly from the state constitution and applicable laws (which, as you know, are always written in such easy to understand, readable language).

As tedious as this task is, I would actually like to do as many states as I can (just so I can have confidence that they're actually right). So, if you have a priority list of states, let me know. I was planning to do Michigan after Florida.
