John Smith (born February 14,1975), better known by his stage name BIG SMO is an American Artist, Musician,Country, Hip Hop, Songwriter, Director, Producer From Unionville,Tennessee In 2003 Big Smo self released both "The Audio Biography" under Smo $ Money Records; as well as "The Kuntry Kitchen" under Yayoda Records. Four years later, Big Smo came back to release the album "The True South" which blended the inner-urban experience, with Smith's own upbringing in the Tennessee "backwoods." In early 2010, Big Smo partnered with Dan Nelson, son of Jay Nelson who managed Queen for a number of years. With Nelsons' guidance, BIG SMO INC. and NME LINES ENT. were formed in early 2010. Later that same year, Big Smo released his third studio album, "American Made" under NME LINES ENT. Big Smo's fourth and most recent studio album "Grassroots" was released in 2012 by Warner Bros. Big Smo has also proved himself to be a successful film producer; producing music videos for other Tennessee musicians, as well as short films. In addition to this, Smith has recorded music and acted as a producer for a number of artists under BIG SMO INC. and NME LINES ENT. in the past, however, many of these artists have gone in their own separate directions. One of these albums recorded, produced by, and featuring Smo is the album "From The Stix To The Bricks" by KinFoke.
