Chart Juice: Brian McKnight Posts 10th Top 10 R&B;/Hip-Hop Album

Justin Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience" catapults 53-1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums with 968,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan (it debuted last week due to street date violations), while Brian McKnight continues his hot streak on the list as "More Than Words" opens at No. 10 with 7,000 copies.

The latter set is the veteran singer's 10th top 10 title, tying him with Keith Sweat for the fourth most top 10s by a male R&B singer since the chart started using SoundScan data in December 1992. Only R. Kelly (14), Gerald Levert (12) and Prince (11) have had more in that span. Additionally, after peaking at No. 17 with his self-titled debut album in 1993, all of McKnight's subsequent non-holiday studio albums have reached the top 10.

Below Timberlake on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums is Rihanna's "Unapologetic," retaining the No. 2 position with 26,000 copies (down 5%). Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "The Heist" holds tight at No. 3 with 24,000 copies (up 6%) as does Kendrick Lamar's "good kid, m.A.A.d city" at No. 4 with 14,000 (down 5%). Rounding out the top five is last week's No. 1 album, Mindless Behavior's "All Around the World." The boy band's sophomore album dropped 70% to 11,000 copies in its second week.

The top of Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs proves to be uneventful again this week as the top six titles remain stationary. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop" notches an 11th week at the top of the chart, tying it with DJ Khaled's "I'm On One" for the longest No. 1 run by a rap song in chart history. Though Timberlake's "Suit & Tie" at No. 2 experienced a big gain in points, expect "Thrift Shop" to stay at No. 1 and break DJ Khaled's record next week.

Drake's "Started from the Bottom" and Lil Wayne's "Love Me" stay put at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively, as do A$AP Rocky's "F**kin Problems" and Rihanna's "Pour It Up" at Nos. 5 and 6. The region's biggest move comes from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Can't Hold Us" which jumps 10-7 in its 18th week. The rowdy track sold 77,000 downloads last week, its biggest sales figure yet, pushing its total sales to 288,000.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are the first duo/group to have a pair of concurrent top 10 singles on the chart since Jan. 24, 2004, when OutKast managed the feat. It's a somewhat hollow victory for Macklemore and Lewis, however: Since OutKast doubled-up in the top 10, there have only been a total of 20 duos or groups that reached the top 10 at all.

Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire" (7-8), Kendrick Lamar's "Poetic Justice" (8-9) and Wale's "Bad" (9-10) were all displaced by "Can't Hold Us" to close out the top 10.

Further down the chart, a number of Justin Timberlake debuts populate the tally, but so do a few new singles by established rappers. After a No. 46 debut on the chart on the March 9, 2013, Tyga's "Molly," featuring Cedric Gervais, Wiz Khalifa and Mally Mal, re-enters the chart at No. 22. The second single off his third album "Hotel California," due April 9, sold 59,000 downloads in its first full week of re-release, according to Nielsen SoundScan (up 341%). A mixtape version of the song, titled "Find Molly" was made available digitally last month, but clearance issues regarding Cedric Gervais' robotic sample which anchors the song's chorus, led to one-week absence on retailer sites. Gervais is now credited as featured artist.

Lil Wayne posts the third single off "I am Not a Human Being II," titled "Rich as F**k," featuring 2 Chainz, at No. 28 on the list. The first single, "No Worries," featuring Detail, peaked at No. 7 on Jan. 12, 2013, and fell off the chart last week. The album's second single, "Love Me," featuring Drake and Future, is currently at its peak position of No. 4 for a fifth consecutive week. "I Am Not a Human Being II" is poised for a big debut next week with forecasts of about 200,000 first-week copies.

Kid Cudi is also gearing up for the release of his third solo album "Indicud," slated for an April 23 release, with third single "Immortal" opening at No. 48. The track, which samples MGMT's "Congratulations," features the Cleveland native crooning in his signature gravelly voice. On March 26, the album cover and tracklist were unveiled online exposing noteworthy features such as Kendrick Lamar, Haim and Michael Bolton.
