Rick Ross Under Fire for Lyrics That Critics Say Condone Date Rape

Rick Ross is facing a growing online firestorm over lyrics that critics say condone date rape. On the song in question, “U.O.E.N.O.,” by Atlanta rapper Rocko, Ross seems to rap about drugging a woman with molly, slang for crystallized MDMA, and having sex with her. In a radio interview Ross responded, "We don’t condone rape,” but critics were not convinced.

Clear Channel's iHeartRadio Music Festival Announces Return to Vegas

Clear Channel is bringing its successful iHeartRadio Music Festival back to the MGM Grand in Vegas for its third year, it was announced today. The festival will again include a "star search," dubbed the Macy's iHeart Radio Rising Star campaign, with 25 new or emerging artists competing through the year to play the alongside the fest's big acts, which have previously included Lil Wayne, Taylor Swift, Enrique Iglesias, Swedish House Mafia, among many others.

Prince Royce, one of the two songwriter of the year winners -- the second was Horacio Palencia, who was also Billboard’s Latin Songwriter of the year in 2012 -- who shared his table with his publishing company, Warner Chappel Music, says he’s working on a new album, after finalizing his split with his former label and publisher, Top Stop Music. Royce would not say who he’s in conversations with for a new album deal but hinted that an announcement was close.
