Pitbull, Christina Aguilera, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Selena Gomez, the Band Perry and Kacey Musgraves have joined the star-packed performance lineup for the Billboard Music Awards, which already includes Prince, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and Miguel. The show will air live on Sunday, May 19, from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on ABC, with "30 Rock" alum Tracy Morgan set to host and Don Mischer to produce.

Barely a week after Twitter released its #music application, the executive who spearheaded the product resigned to join a mystery startup. Kevin Thau, who had championed Twitter's acquisition of a small developer called We Are Hunted and used their technology to form the kernel of #music, is reportedly leaving to join a company started by Twitter co-founder Biz Stone.

The rousing appearance spurs the song's No. 33 debut on Pop Digital Songs with 19,000 sold during the week ending April 21, a 597% increase, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

This past Tuesday, April 16, Telemundo scored a rare coup for a Hispanic television network. Thanks to its original novela, El Señor de los Cielos, the station took the top ratings spot at 10 p.m. on Friday for all adults age 18 to 34 -- of any network, regardless of language. That's no surprise to Telemundo's president, Emilio Romano, who starred in a panel at the Billboard Latin Music Conference late Wednesday afternoon for a live interview with Bill Werde, Billboard's editorial director.
