The lights are on
It was conspicuous that EA Sports wasn't talking about a Wii U version of the latest Madden game, and now it's official that the game won't appear on the Nintendo console.
Nintendo World Report has a statement from a company representative that reads: "We will not be releasing a Wii U version of Madden NFL in 2013. However, we have a strong partnership with Nintendo and will continue to evaluate opportunities for delivering additional Madden NFL products for Nintendo fans in the future."
The series put out a title for both the Wii and Wii U last year, but there were reports that the Wii U version didn't fare well.
Although Madden is one of the biggest sports series EA has (behind only FIFA worldwide), this latest move isn't that surprising given that so far, the latest iterations of the Tiger Woods, NHL, and NCAA series are also not appearing on the Wii U.

meh, everybody's blackballing the Wii U these days.
Wow, this is a blow. Madden (love it or hate it) is ALWAYS in the top 10 games sold every year.
The Wii U could have been JUSTIFIED with this one game, demonstrating how cool it is to pick and even design plays with that touchpad controller. 20 million copies of Madden 25 = 20 million Wii U's being sold. but now they're not even going to try. wow.
Honestly, at this point, it's more newsworthy when Wii U DOES get a game.
HAHAHA Im soooo glad I didnt buy that crap. Better luck next time! (Super Mario voice)
Nintendo better roll out a good fall line up!
;( maybe madden u will come out
Gamepad should be perfect for thing like pre plan moves or offensives... but this is EA and they still butthurt crybabies to Nintendo about the origin thing. so Im not surprised
