Major label-owned subscription platform Songl has brought in a new boss ahead of a full launch Down Under in the first half.

Songl is operated by Digital Music Distribution (DMD), a joint venture between Universal Music Australia and Sony Music Australia. When it goes live, the service will provide digital music services direct to the public, to broadcasters, brand partners and other media suppliers.
