With first-week sales of over 47,000 copies, Aventura's album "The Last" has the best sales week for any Latin album in the U.S. since 2007, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The last time a Latin album had a better sales week was when Wisin & Yandel's "Los Extraterrestres" sold 53,000 copies in its first official week of sales in November 2007.

Aventura's showing on the Billboard 200 at No. 5 is the best since Mana's No. 4 showing in Sept. 2006, when "Amar Es Combatir" sold 87,000 copies in its first week. Back then, in digital Latin music's early days, "Amar Es Combatir" sold 3% of its copies digitally in its first week. By contrast, Aventura's first-week sales of "The Last" were 9.2% digital. That percentage might have been higher, if not for the fact that Aventura did a slew of in-stores in its opening week.

Wisin & Yandel's most recent chart-topper, "La Revolucion," sold 13% of its albums digitally in its first week.
