Black Eyed Peas, Chingy, Coheed and Cambria, Jadakiss, Melissa Auf Der Maur, the Ying Yang Twins and Yellowcard are starring in a series of voter initiative public service announcements for Fuse. The spots come as part of the cable music channel's Electile Dysfunction 2004 campaign, which kicks off today (July 26) to coincide with the beginning of the Democratic National Convention in Boston, and will continue through the Nov. 2 U.S. presidential election.

The 30-second PSAs urge the network's 12-34-aged viewing audience to take part in daily online polls and surveys, as well as discuss issues surrounding the election. The initiative "will take the heart of the political system to task with a bold call-to-action for young voters to 'Get Up the Vote' in this year's presidential election," Fuse president Marc Juris says.

Network personalities will also cover this week's DNC and next month's Republican National Convention in New York, with reports on the "Daily Download" program. Fuse will be able to provide a unique on-the-street view of the latter from its studios, which are located directly across from the RNC site, Madison Square Garden.

Fuse and filmmaker David Burrows will co-produce the non-partisan documentary "America Speaks Out," which will feature behind the scenes coverage of both conventions. A portion of the proceeds from the project will benefit the Creative Coalition, Children's Medical Center of Dallas, Project Vote Smart and Music For All Foundation.
