Virgin America marked its first flight from California to Toronto on Tuesday (June 29) with a mile-high party aboard an Airbus A320 aircraft dubbed the "Air Drake." Named after the Toronto-raised rapper Drake and hosted by Virgin Group Founder Sir Richard Branson, Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger and Drizzy, the flight was the first international destination for the California-based airline.

Bronson and Schwarzenegger took off from LAX and made a stop in San Francisco, where they picked up more passengers, including actors Gregory Smith and Gilles Marini and dancer Cheryl Burke, among others, for the airplane party. "Flying on 'Air Drake' is truly humbling. I'm truly honored to have a plane named after me," Drake said via video about the experience.

Upon touchdown, the plane was greeted in Canada with a water cannon salute, an international welcoming committee and a red carpet party on the arrival tarmac.
