Fred Bronson reports on the chart accomplishements of Toni Braxton and matchbox twenty.

WHAT'S 'MORE': A year ago this month, Toni Braxton peaked at No. 119 on The Billboard 200 with a holiday album, "Snowflakes." Her latest release far outpaces that Christmas album, as "More Than a Woman" (Arista) enters the album tally at No. 13. To equal Braxton's previous releases, this new CD will have to reach the top-2. In 1994, an eponymous debut album entered at No. 36 and eventually spent two weeks at No. 1. The 1996 release "Secrets" went to No. 2, as did "The Heat" in 2000.

On the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, "More Than a Woman" is new at No. 5. On that survey, "Snowflakes" peaked at No. 57, while its three predecessors all went to No. 1.

'MORE' AND 'MORE': Toni Braxton isn't the only artist with an album title that starts with "More" to debut on The Billboard 200 this week. "More Than a Woman" by Toni Braxton is new at No. 13, while "More Than You Think You Are" (Lava/Atlantic) by matchbox twenty opens at No. 6. The group's first chart entry, "Yourself or Someone Like You," debuted at No. 193 in March 1997, ultimately peaking at No. 5. The follow-up, "Mad Season," debuted and peaked at No. 3 in June 2000.
