Macklemore & Ryan Lewis to play Missoula's Adams Center

It’s been a huge year for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Just last October, the Seattle hip-hop duo packed the Wilma Theatre with their odes to budget fashion (“Thrift Shop”) and marriage equality (“Same Love”).

The two have announced a performance at the University of Montana’s Adams Center on Thursday, Oct. 24. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m.

Tickets cost $36.50 plus fees for reserved seating and $39.50 plus fees for general admission floor seating. They go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday and will be available at all GrizTix locations, by calling 1-888-MONTANA and at griztix.com.

Their self-released full-length debut, “The Heist,” shot to the No. 1 slot on iTunes, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard charts and was certified gold without the support of a traditional record label.

Why has the Missoulian been a bl**dy shill for bands coming to town? Is this news? No, it's not. You're simply being a wh*re for whatever music promoter has your ear. "Hip" music never made a town cultural except for attracting more "hipsters" who drive up prices.
