I ordered these glasses a few days before Thanksgiving because I needed them for Thanksgiving dinner. Because Amazon offers only a few glasses of this general sort via Amazon Prime, it was easy to decide on these - I liked the unusual shape. Now that I've had them for a month or so, I'm back to order 12 more. The somewhat unusual shape makes them pleasant to hold and easier to hang on to. I also like how the light goes through the glass - it has the same warbling effect as old glass. Nothing has broken yet and they seem reasonably solid.

We've owned these for a few years now. The best glassware we've used. Regular glassware if they fell, would most likely break, and sometimes in the dishwasher glasses would chip. NOT THESE!!! Of course if you drop them enough they will break, but we've had none break yet, and we are clumpsy. They are very sturdy. they have a unique design. Heavy weighted.

We got eight of these (and eight old-fashioned, slightly larger in diameter). Great looking glasses; not ridiculously thin or absurdly heavy. Feel great in the hand. They're also sturdy. I dropped a mobile phone on one twice and it made a ringing noise (the glass, not the phone ;) ) and was fine. The indentations make it very pleasant to hold in the hand. Each glass is obviously cast since the indendations are precisely the same on all the glasses we got. We're probably getting 4 more since we like them so much and would like to ensure against future breakage.

I love these glasses; easy to hold, don't stain in the dishwasher, nice size. Great every-day glass. Good value.

I needed to get some new glasses, as all of my old ones have broken recently. I thought these looked interesting, so I decided to the try them. I can't vouch for their strength, as I've only been using them about 2 months, but we haven't broken any yet. The glass is NOT flimsy. They're sturdy with some weight to them - the bottom is quite thick. The top (the rim) of the glass is round, although the base is irregularly shaped. It was hard to tell from the photo, but the glass is twisted and dented and unusual all the way up the glass - very interesting! Overall these glasses are refreshing and unique and I'm quite glad I purchased them.

When my husband and I created our wedding registry, we read review after review of glassware that broke. Bormioli glasses, however, seemed to get good reviews. We've had them now for 2 1/2 years and not a single break or chip. We have the juice glasses, on-the-rocks glasses, and water glasses--about 30 pieces in total.

We also chose these because we loved the design--we are big hikers with a great love of nature. The shape of these reminded us of natural formations found in nature. Everyone comments on how beautiful and fun they are. They are funky without being wacky; whimsical yet not so silly that they can't be used on a more formal holiday table. We love them and couldn't be more pleased. I would definitely purchase more Bormioli products.

I waited 1 year to write this review.....I generally do not own 'glass' glasses, I break them! I have owned 2 sets of the water glasses & 2 sets of the old fashions and LOVE LOVE LOVE these glasses! They are durable, great looking, easy to wash(no indent on bottom to catch water!) I have lost 1 glass but not to my fault! My kitten knocked the glass off a counter onto a concrete floor. Incredibly the glass did break but only at top and in only 3 pieces. No shatter. Would highly recommend these to anyone and am ordering an addition set to complete my set of 12.

I honestly was extremely skeptical of this design and some comments saying that it is easy to hold so I had to try it out and wanted a new addition for my house that can grab guests' attention.

I was mind blown, this glass has been dropped 2 times so far and no scratch on it. Oh it was dropped because my girlfriend accidentally tips it over or knocks it over or something, but believe me when I say that this thing has the best design for grip. It is much better than perfectly cylinder glass. The way your hand just sinks into the groove makes this glass A+.

Durability: 5/5 (Dropped it 2 times so far and no scratches or any marks that indicates wear and tear) - and No I will not try and see how many times I have to drop it before a scratch is on it, but I will soon enough (girlfriend is pretty clumsy - lol)

I had my eyes on these for a while, and overall I am satisfied with them. I bought 2 sets of these and 2 sets of the shorter version, which actually hold almost the same amount of fluid ounces as these larger ones because they are bigger around. Anyway, I like these and I'll definitely keep them, but it's worth noting that there is a visible seam from the glass mold / press. The unusual shape of the glass helps to conceal it; however, people will probably still notice it when they're holding the glass in their hand and looking it over since it's so unique. The reason I bought these was because another set of glasses I was looking at had a seam and I feel like that really looks cheap, so I am a little disappointed.

I really love these glasses, and so does my family. They are a nice heavy weight glass (not too heavy), and the unusual shape and texture not only looks cool but makes them sit firmly in your grasp so you don't feel like the glass will slip from your hand. My old glassware would spontaneously break in the dishwasher because they were so thin and light. These glasses are substantial and a great buy for the price that is offered on Amazon. We love them.
