I have a 10 month old daughter whose favorite show right now is the bubble guppies. The only problem with that show is that its still new and that they only have a few episodes (2 seasons worth). I tried getting her to watch new shows and I couldnt find anything that could get her attention, everything was either too cartoonish or not educational at all. But then I remembered when my nephews and neices were babies that they loved watching the Backyardigans, so I tried putting it on for her thinking that she wasnt going to like it. Boy was I wrong about that one. The characters were so unique and the songs were so well sung. She was instantly hooked. These child acters are so experienced beyond their ages and that their talents are above that of some older TWEEN shows. I highly recommend this show for children of all ages (and for those closeted adults who still enjoy watching cartoons).

Such a great show, a great overall concept (kids using their imagination), cool episode concepts, and of course great execution of music. (Each episode presents a distinct musical genre, but that's old news).
Our 3.5 year old daughter has been watching it for a long time, and several episodes have been re-watched multiple times. She has not been so interested in it lately, but that's probably because there's sooooo much stuff available to watch nowadays.

I enjoy watching this show with my grandchildren. The concept is so smart and appealing--imaginary adventures in the backyard! It reminds me of the kind of play I had as a child. The songs are catchy and the dance moves entertain. The racial diversity that is evident in the characters' voices is simply genius. My youngest grandchild (15 months) becomes absorbed in the shows and I do too. We both have our favorite episodes that we don't get tired of watching like "Surf's Up" and "Polka Palace Party"! I think this show is for both the young and the young-at-heart.

My grandaughter loves these shows. She is only 2 yrs old but sings and dances along with the shows. Now, even I know the songs in each episode & we'll sing them in the car or other places when the show isnt actually on.
