not free,

said free but after downloaded and opened I found it is free for less than 30 days, same as other e-newspapers. Misleading, I would not download if I knew. I do not want e-newspapers that are more expensive to subscribe than their paper versions.

WP is a Teaser.,

Only the front page. Can't get to to sports or business. Just a teaser. WP on Kindele is of no value.

The app doesn't include most of the newspaper. Free for only a short period. Navigation is inconsistent. The app doesn't include comments made on articles. App uninstalled.

Still learning so it is too early to give a fair appraisal. First impressions are very favorable. Check back with me in a month or so. It is important to have an easy way to email an article to someone. I follow the New York Times and the Washington Post carefully. Very important not to require a paid subscription -- I live in CT, not DC.

Although free (for the first month), the site wasn't worth it. Very little navigation to various areas of the newspaper. Nothing there that I can't get from another website.

Originally I had rated this low and since then found offline reading perfect for my commute. I now feel I can rate this at 5 stars -- and love the paper to boot!

I am not rating the WP content, which I enjoy, especially wonkblog.
As an app for the kindle fire HD, it fails almost completely. The settings tab only has one actual setting, for cellular download (not even available on my fire HD tablet). instructions with the app say it will download the paper automatically at 5am eastern, but it's never actually done that. When I do download the print edition, it invariably freezes or hangs completely. When changing sections, it freezes. When opening articles, it freezes. When I do pretty much anything, it freezes. Only rarely am I able to successfully open the section I am navigating to without waiting for two to five minutes. I get constant notices from the OS asking I want to wait or force close the app. When loading Ezra Klein's blog, only the current day's posts are available, the highlighted posts on the website are nowhere to be found, and at least three times it has failed to load the current day's posts. The entire app needs to find a way to streamline navigation and provide more consistent loading on the kindle fire HD. Even if I wanted to pay the too high price for continuing an all devices subscription, the experience on the kindle fire HD has convinced me to end after the trial period.

Clean, just lets you read the articles easily. More newspaper apps should take the same approach rather than clutter up the screen.
