Huggies wipes

I ordered the 648ct. wipes and it is exactly as stated in the description. Three large bags with zippers contain all the wipes and a tub to dispense them in arrive in the Huggies box. You can't fit all the wipes in a bag in a tub at once, but put the open bag into a zipper locked bag for future use and they will stay moist. I prefer huggies wipes and tubs to Pampers anyday because of the softness yet superior strength that Huggies wipes have and because of the tub openings. The tub openings have a soft flap that keep just a bit of the wipe ready to be pulled out, where Pampers tubs have just an opening and more of the wipe is exposed. Plus, when pulling out a wipe they tend to fall back in the tub right in the middle of a diaper change and I am left trying to pull out a wipe using the pinching method through the hole or having to open the tub and resend it throught the hole- one handed. Definately will always be a Huggies fan!!

wipes are great, but what the heck happened to amazon prices??!

like the other reviewers, i LOVE these wipes. they're the only ones i use on my now 3-month-old, they're thick, unscented, and they haven't given my baby a diaper rash. i gave the item a 4-star because they really are great. however, the prices increased dramatically on amazon. what happened? the subscribe-and-save option with amazon mom discount made these wipes SO cheap! that's really unfortunate, because i'm sure amazon lost a lot of customers who were happy buying these here. i found that the website for the big-box retailer whose name starts with a W had a pretty good price (not as good as amazon's subscribe-and-save though), so i'll be buying these there from now on. it's too bad, because i love amazon. hopefully someone else can benefit from this information.

Our favorite wipes!

These are our favorite wipes! They are tough, thick and don't have a weird smell. I really disliked the Pampers Sensitive wipes AND the Target Sensitive wipes because they were thin and "slippery"...it's like they would just pushed the poop around instead of picking it up. We're breastfeeding so it's A LOT of slimy, wet poops. We'd have to use 2-3 wipes at a time, and with the Huggies we only need one. The Huggies also have a really nice texture so you don't have to rub really hard to get those stubborn stick on poops...with the other brands I felt like I was having to scrub and pick it off...which defeats the purpose of the wipes!

So sad Amazon and Huggies have decided to raise the price on these wipes! Hoping this doesn't become the norm, or I'll need to do all baby product shopping at the store instead. I understand costs/prices are increasing on nearly everything these days, but this new price is crazy. Less product + significantly more expensive = totally disappointing!

WHEN MY SON WAS BORN 14 YEARS AGO, MYSELF LIKE ALOT OF OTHER NEW MOTHER'S OUT THERE WERE INTRODUCED TO BABY WIPES FOR BABIES. WELL, IT'S BEEN MANY YEARS SINCE MY SON WAS POTTY TRAINED AND NO LONGER NEEDED DIAPERS AND WIPES. HOWEVER, I NEVER STOPPED PURCHASING THEM, THEY ARE PART OF MY GROCERY MUST HAVE LIST EVERY SINGLE MONTH. I PURCHASE THESE WIPES AND HAVE THEM IN EVERY BATHROOM WITH A NEAT TYPED NOTE ON TOP SAYING (PLEASE DO NOT FLUSH - WIPES- THEY WILL CLOG UP TOILETS) GUESTS LOVE THEM AS WELL. WE USE THEM TO WIPE OUR DOGGIE'S PRIVATE PARTS AND FEET OFF AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN OUTSIDE TO DO THEIR DUTY (THEIR FEET NEVER TOUCH THE FLOOR UNTIL THEY HAVE BEEN WIPED OFF WITH A WIPEY). WE USE THEM FOR JUST ABOUT EVERY THING. FROM TAKING OFF MAKE-UP, WIPING UP STICKY SPILLS ON THE FLOOR, WIPING OFF FEET, SWEAT, & UNDER YOUR ARMS AND OTHER BODY PARTS TO FRESHEN UP WHEN YOUR NOT AT HOME AND NEAR A SHOWER OR BATHTUB. I KEEP THEM IN MY CAR AND IN MY HUSBANDS TRUCK. WE USE THEM ALL THE TIME FOR WIPING UP DIRT, LIQUID SPILLS, CRUMBS, THE LIST IS ENDLESS. These Wipes are just okay.

There seem to be two general types of baby wipes out there, the 'soft' wipes and the 'thick and clean' wipes. The 'soft' wipes feel plushy-soft to the touch, feel thinner and will stretch when pulled apart. The 'thick and clean' wipes lack that plushy-soft feel, but aren't necessarily rough; they are akin to moistened toilet tissue. They feel thicker but don't stretch when pulled upon.

These wipes are of the 'thick and clean' variety. I have a personal preference toward this type of wipe and so get these by subscription through Amazon. I've labeled these wipes as 'just okay' because they do seem to tear a bit more easily than other wipes of their kind that I've used.

My prefered wipe is the 'Parent's Choice' brand available at Walmart. In fact, since my wife refuses to shop at Walmart, it was my duty to make the special trip required to procure those wipes before we started getting baby items through Amazon Mom.

Unfortunately, baby wipe packaging isn't very qualitative as to what the product is and it is an effort to investigate each product and brand. And so I just accept that these wipes are 'just okay' and will go along with that.
