When Gloria Estefan is inducted into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame on Oct. 18, her peers, including Ednita Nazario and Jon Secada, will pay tribute to the Latin superstar.

This week, Chayanne's new studio set, En Todo Estaré, debuts at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart, and at No. 1 pretty much everywhere else in Latin America. But wait a minute: While first single "Humanos a Marte" cracked the top 10 of our Latin Airplay chart, it never made it to the top five, much less to No. 1, the spot where Chayanne has placed a string of hits in the past.

Spanish singer/songwriter Joan Manuel Serrat has been named the 2014 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year and will be celebrated during a gala on Nov. 19 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Café Tacvba, the iconic Mexican band, will celebrate their 25th anniversary with more than a dozen tour dates launching Oct. 16 in Miami.

Less than a year after its launch, Eddie “Piolin� Sotelo’s highly-touted show on SiriusXM radio has been canceled. SiriusXM issued a short statement saying Sotelo and the company had “mutually agreed to end their relationship.�
