I have recently begun to edit wikipedia , while working on some personal/amateur historical research. For many years I have used wikipedia as a "consumer", for my own interest and also to assist in my professional work in science and engineering and I am extremely grateful to all those who have constructed this immense repository of knowledge and information for the benefit of all. I was moved to make my first edit on seeing a mindless piece of vandalism in the article for Marcus Agrippa. But once you have started it is hard to stop. As part of my work I have been wading through some original ancient sources ( Tacitus, Cassio Dio, Josephus etc) , often repeatedly, distilling and indexing my own notes, in reference to wikipedia which has led me to make the few edits and additions that I have to date. I hope they have been of some small use.
