CHUS clerking functionality?[edit]

Anomie: I might be mis-remembering but does AnomieBOT have the ability to clerk CHUS? –xenotalk 00:52, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

I don't think I ever implemented it. If there are details as to what exactly would be needed, I'll probably have some time next week to implement it if it's needed. Anomie 22:38, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
I think I was thinking of Chris G Bot. Cyberpower678 could you let us know your thoughts - whether you'll be able to get the CHUS clerk back up and running soon or would you prefer Anomie modified AnomieBOT to do the job? –xenotalk 14:17, 21 December 2018 (UTC)
Anomie: I think Cyberpower678 does not have cycles to repair this task. @K6ka and 1997kB: if you guys had the ideal CHUS bot, what would it do? –xenotalk 18:28, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
An ideal CHUS bot would probably do what it currently does now... except I'd probably also like the bot to be able to check for AntiSpoof conflicts (that would be very useful). —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 18:40, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
@Xeno: Note an overview of what the current bot does (particularly in comparison to what AnomieBOT already does at CHUU) would also be helpful. Anomie 23:11, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
Anomie: Does this help at all? User:Chris G Bot 3/Source Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/Chris G Bot 3 (3rd Request) ? @K6ka and 1997kB: I'm a bit indisposed at the minute, if you could help Anomie with the question above and any other questions, that would be most helpful and hopefully pay dividends in your ongoing CHUS efforts. –xenotalk 15:15, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
Currently the CHUS bot does the following:
  • Checks requests made at CHUS for the following:
    • If the requested username already exists (by checking Special:CentralAuth). If it already exists and has made no edits, it will also provide a link to WP:CHUU.
    • If the requested username contains any characters that cannot be used in usernames (per Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(technical_restrictions)#Restrictions_on_usernames)
    • If the requested username is the same as the current username
    • If the requested username is the same as the current username, except for the first letter of the username being in lowercase (in which case it will make the recommendation that users use lowercase title on their userpages and change their signatures to reflect their preferences)
    • If the requested username is the same as the current username, except for underscores in place of spaces
    • If the current username does not appear to exist
    • If the requesting user had already made a request on CHUS that no human clerk or renamer has responded to
    • If the user who made the request is different from the current username used in the request
    • Checks the global rename log to see if the request was already done by a renamer who had forgotten to mark it as Done, and mark it as done appropriately.
  • If it doesn't find any issues, the bot leaves a message on the request saying that no technical issues were found (removing the bot message causes the bot to check it again).
  • The bot archives requests marked as done 24 hours after they've been processed, and archives requests marked as Not done 48 hours after the template was added, to the appropriate archive pages. Completed requests are added to incremental archives (e.g. Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple/Archive237) while rejected requests are organized by month (e.g. Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple/Unfulfilled/2019/January). The bot creates a new incremental archive page for completed requests when the archive pages reach about 75,000 bytes in size. The bot also checks to see if it was a global renamer or steward that marked the request as Not done (it won't archive requests if anyone else adds the template).
Off the top of my head, this is what the current bot does. Of course, if possible, the bot can definitely be improved to better handle the changes to the rename process. Two things that will be of great help to renamers (and requesters) on the page is if the bot could:
  1. Check for AntiSpoof conflicts with the requested username.
  2. Check for any previous rename log entries from the requesting user.
These aren't hardline issues that would for sure prevent a rename from occurring, but it will help if a bot could make note of them. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 16:25, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
Also if bot automatically notifies on user talk page (using Template:CHU note, which we do manually now) on conflicts on requests, it will be helpful for requesters as many of requests goes to not done without response. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 17:55, 15 January 2019 (UTC)

  • Just to close the loop, Cyberbot seems back in working order so I guess this can be placed on the back burner. –xenotalk 18:35, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
    • Ok. Sorry I didn't get a chance to code it. Anomie 01:09, 1 March 2019 (UTC)

Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard[edit]

I added two sections in this article, referencing to a blog by Dawn Turner. I often quote Ms Turner due to her style and sober content. I did not see anything promotional in it. Your Bot added the comment "promotional source". Can I remove that comment? ScienceGuard (talk) 13:38, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

AnomieBOT did not add the tag, it just dated it. The tag was added in the previous edit by Billhpike, you should ask him on his talk page or on the article's talk page. Anomie 22:40, 18 December 2018 (UTC)
thanks! ScienceGuard (talk) 18:02, 15 January 2019 (UTC)

Request[edit]

Can you please review this Wikipedia page? - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:ODEM — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeff at ODEM (talkcontribs) 07:59, 24 December 2018 (UTC)

Jeff at ODEM, this is a bot page, which means it cannot (and will not) be doing anything other than what it is programmed to do. As far as asking for a draft review - please be patient, as there are about 1300 other submissions awaiting review; they will all be seen to eventually. Primefac (talk) 22:48, 24 December 2018 (UTC)

BAGBot: WP:BAG cannot be processed - Fixed[edit]

I could not find the Member List table in WP:BAG, which means either someone changed the wikitext or someone vandalized the page. Either fix it back to the old layout, or update me to find the new version. Thanks. When you have fixed this issue, please change the section title (e.g. append " - Fixed") or remove this section completely. I will repost the notice if the page is still broken or is re-broken. Thanks! AnomieBOT 23:45, 28 December 2018 (UTC)

Apparently it doesn't handle a level 3 header vs a level 2 header. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 23:59, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
That's right, it doesn't. Anomie 20:42, 30 December 2018 (UTC)
Could you tweak it to handle an arbitrary level? Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 20:53, 30 December 2018 (UTC)
In the meantime, I've restored it to its original lvl-2 header so as not to cause too much panic to botops that have a reliance on the tool. Primefac (talk) 21:13, 30 December 2018 (UTC)
Personally I think it works better to have the member list at level 2 rather than as a subsection of "membership". But I've updated the bot now. Anomie 19:31, 2 January 2019 (UTC)

Dumilisai Soundararajan / Tamilisai Soundararajan[edit]

The bot seems to have messed up an entry by adding | :Dumilisai Soundararajan (request) (a nonexistent page Dumilisai Soundararajan) to User:AnomieBOT/SPERTable.-- Flooded with them hundreds 09:34, 29 December 2018 (UTC)

I see nothing that the bot did wrong there. It was reflecting a seemingly bogus "request" added at Special:PermaLink/875833794#Semi-protected edit request on 29 December 2018. Anomie 20:42, 30 December 2018 (UTC)

Wikipedia:BAG/Status[edit]

Your bot hasn't updated Wikipedia:BAG/Status for over 24 hours. Do you know what is going on with your bot? Pkbwcgs (talk) 20:27, 29 December 2018 (UTC)

See #BAGBot: WP:BAG cannot be processed above. Headbomb broke it with Special:Diff/875781639. Anomie 20:38, 30 December 2018 (UTC)
Your bot has now updated it. Thanks and happy new year. Pkbwcgs (talk) 21:17, 30 December 2018 (UTC)

CategoryCleaner.pm/metadata - wording[edit]

Hi Anomie. Recently, I semi-boldly rephrased the wording of this task description, here, because imo it was poorly phrased. Today, the bot reverted me when “Updating published sources”, leading me to suspect that this wording is embedded somewhere else, and only copied to this page. If you wouldn't mind relooking at the wording of the talk, I'd be grateful. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 00:30, 7 January 2019 (UTC)

It comes from the bot's source code, which is mirrored at User:AnomieBOT/source/tasks/CategoryCleaner.pm. IMO the current wording is slightly unusual but not incorrect. Anomie 17:39, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
Also, I think that User:AnomieBOT/source/tasks/PERTableUpdater.pm/metadata should include User:AnomieBOT/IPERTable, which it currently doesn't. --DannyS712 (talk) 05:33, 9 January 2019 (UTC)

DRVClerk[edit]

Please take a look at DRVClerk. Old discussions aren't getting archived. M!y guess is there's a misformed header or something which is confusing the pattern matcher. Thanks. -- RoySmith (talk) 13:54, 8 January 2019 (UTC)

I don't see anything out of the ordinary at WP:DRV. Non-empty pages from the past seven days are listed at WP:DRV#Active discussions, non-empty pages from 7–14 days ago are listed at WP:DRV#Recent discussions, and pages with all closed discussion have had their headers removed as expected. Looking at the history of Wikipedia:Deletion review/Recent I see Dec 17 stayed around a bit longer than expected thanks to a missing that was finally added in Special:Diff/877259449. What problem are you seeing? Anomie 02:03, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
It was WP:Deletion review/Log/2018 December 17 that was the problem, but I see it's finally been processed, so I guess things are working. Thanks for looking at it. -- RoySmith (talk) 02:13, 9 January 2019 (UTC)

bug[edit]

Hi, there seems to be a bug: The bot produces sssue instead of issue see here. Best regards and many thanks for the bot. Minihaa (talk) 20:15, 10 January 2019 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @Minihaa: The bug was not in the bot code, but in the definition of the Literatur template. I've corrected the template and fixed up the handful of pages that were affected. -- John of Reading (talk) 20:57, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
@John of Reading Thank you very much, it is admired! Minihaa (talk) 08:52, 13 January 2019 (UTC)

List of Bulbophyllum species[edit]

Hello AnomieBOT,

Could you please explain to someone from another planet (me!) the problem with List of Bulbophyllum species that you noted on its Talk page? When I click on the first part of each note (eg. Bulbophyllum boonjee) I am taken to the article where I see the WCSP reference. When I click on the WCSP reference, I see the listing. When I click on the italicised link in your note (eg. Bulbophyllum boonjee) I see the same WCSP listing. I'm keen to make any fixes but need a bit more help working out what's needed. Gderrin (talk) 22:47, 10 January 2019 (UTC) (and watching)

(talk page stalker) @Gderrin: In this edit you added a reference named "WCSP" but didn't define it. Sometimes when this happens, the bot can find the same reference name, say, "New York Times 24 May 2003" in a linked article, and the bot makes a good guess that the definition from that article can be safely copied to the article that lacks it. In this case the bot found dozens of different references all named "WCSP" and couldn't safely copy any of them; since each one is about a single species, I think that's correct. The fix is to dig out the page at the World Checklist of Selected Plant Families that has the list of Bulbophyllum species, and add that to your list article as the reference for your lead section. -- John of Reading (talk) 07:33, 11 January 2019 (UTC)
Hello @John of Reading: That was indeed careless of me. Thanks hugely for your help. I hope the problem is sorted now. Gderrin (talk) 08:30, 11 January 2019 (UTC)

Bypass redirect for DatedCategoryCreator[edit]

Hi Anomie. Template:Monthly clean up category has been renamed to Template:Monthly clean-up category. Could you update AnomieBOT's DatedCategoryCreator to bypass the redirect, please? --Bsherr (talk) 02:58, 11 January 2019 (UTC)

Sigh, silly pointless renames.  Done Anomie 20:44, 12 January 2019 (UTC)

Bug related to hidden text[edit]

See diff. Thanks, -- Black Falcon (talk) 21:22, 19 January 2019 (UTC)

There's no bot bug there. Espngeek screwed up the --> in this edit, causing a fair bit of the page to be included in the header-comment. You did the right thing by undoing the bot and fixing it. Anomie 23:35, 19 January 2019 (UTC)
OK, thanks for clarifying. -- Black Falcon (talk) 01:05, 21 January 2019 (UTC)

The BOT has restricted access to the article "Gaudiya Mission"[edit]

Anomie, please help. I created 6 Dec. 2018 a new article Gaudiya Mission, but your User:AnomieBOT to the page Talk:Gaudiya Mission added a template stating that an article with the same title was deleted in 2010 (old AfD multi|date1 = June 8, 2010 |result1 = deleted |page1 = Gaudiya Mission). I already deleted the template as erroneous (there's the same organisation, but fully new text), but the article is still not displayed in Google search engine. DayakSibiriak (talk) 08:37, 23 January 2019 (UTC)

Sorry, it's because the article hasn't been reviewed. Now all well. DayakSibiriak (talk) 00:22, 28 January 2019 (UTC)

Edit to the article 2R (group)[edit]

You(bot) have recently made some changes in the article 2R (group). I have removed some of them as they comes to the category of Template programming element which is part of Check Wikipedia project. If you think the edit done by me is not allowed, please do revert my edit. The only reason why I removed the script was because of the reason that it contained the line #invoke:Check for unknown parameters which I guess calls the module Module:Check for unknown parameters. If my edit was not correct, the only reason I need to state is that I don't have much experience as you have.Adithyak1997 (talk) 18:27, 2 February 2019 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @Adithyak1997: Your edit was correct. For a short while, there was an error in the template , causing junk to be left in some articles. Thank you for fixing this one. -- John of Reading (talk) 19:30, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
Yup, that was my fault. I realized the issue and thought I had removed all of the stray #invoke code, but I guess I missed one. Thanks for taking care of it. Primefac (talk) 14:37, 3 February 2019 (UTC)

Task modification[edit]

Hello Anomie. I noticed that AnomieBOT automatically creates talk page redirects when certain remote pages are created.[4][5] Could you modify that tasking to have the bot create these redirects with the inclusion of a redirect categorization template as well? In the following manner:

#REDIRECT (Target page name)

R from remote page

This will increase the utility of the created page, support the efforts of WikiProject Redirect, and be greatly appreciated. Thank you.--John Cline (talk) 07:21, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

Makes sense, done with R from remote page. Anomie 12:25, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

TemplateSubster: Template:Polytonic has too many transclusions - fixed[edit]

In an effort to prevent disruption, I refuse to subst templates that have over 100 transclusions unless they are listed at User:AnomieBOT/TemplateSubster force. Please either edit the template to remove it from Category:Wikipedia templates to be automatically substituted, manually subst the existing transclusions, or add it to User:AnomieBOT/TemplateSubster force to let me know it is OK to subst them. When you have fixed this issue, please change the section title (e.g. append " - Fixed") or remove this section completely. I will repost the notice if the page is still broken or is re-broken. Pppery, Why not add it to User:AnomieBOT/TemplateSubster force? Hhkohh (talk) 12:54, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
My guess is that the "some reason" is that a human editor removed enough of the transclusions to bring it under the 100-transclusion mark. For example, these 6 edits shortly before AnomieBOT started processing it might have brought the total from 102 down to 96, which would allow AnomieBOT to proceed. The bot's logs tell me it substed 90 pages, and there are currently 6 left according to [6]. Anomie 13:39, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
Yep, I substed (or removed, in at least one case of inappropriate use) the transclusions in mainspace, which probably brought the count below 100. – Jonesey95 (talk) 14:14, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

Enhancement request[edit]

Hi there, could you update the protection classifier for User:....../.json pages to show they are "fully protected" (as shown in Special:PermaLink/882805795 on User:AnomieBOT/PERTable) as they can only be edited by admins and the named account. Missing log page[edit]

For some reason 8 February does not show up in Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion#Discussions_awaiting_closure while on 8 February there are quite a few open discussions. Any idea what might cause the problem? Marcocapelle (talk) 09:07, 16 February 2019 (UTC)

Marcocapelle, I think the CFDClerk task is down now. Also, the bot did not remove new nomination header in yesterday CfD log Hhkohh (talk) 09:31, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
@Hhkohh and Marcocapelle: its also not working on WP:ITN/C - I have disabled the task since on its last attempt it removed the old content but didn't actually archive it --DannyS712 (talk) 09:38, 16 February 2019 (UTC)

Question regarding AnomieBot not working on templates[edit]

Do you have any idea why AnomieBot stopped working on WikiProject Jamaica, WikiProject Muslim scholars (and also Chess position which it started but stopped)? --Gonnym (talk) 13:16, 16 February 2019 (UTC)

Toolforge is having issues. Looks like T216208 is the task for it. Anomie 21:12, 16 February 2019 (UTC)

A few TfDClerk suggestions[edit]

  1. AnomieBOT should say "Module does not exist" rather than "Template does not exist" when closing a discussion for a non-existent module.
  2. AnomieBOT should handle the case of a template (or, more commonly, module) being moved without leaving a redirect.

See Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2019 January 19 for an example of both cases. ery (talk) 03:22, 19 February 2019 (UTC)

I don't see any modules on that page, nor anything that's obviously been renamed. Anomie 23:20, 19 February 2019 (UTC)
@Anomie: Sorry, I meant Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2019 February 19#Module:WikiProject_Central_America/convert, it must still have been January in my brain. ery (talk) 02:27, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
Done I'll have it treat the move-without-redirect case much like a deletion, closing the discussion as something like Moved withour redirect with comment "Userfying per TfD" by Pppery (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · page moves · rights · RfA). It'll have the same 1 hour delay before closing, to give the admin a chance to close it with something more specific. Anomie 12:47, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
May I ask why User:AnomieBOT/source/tasks/TFDClerk.pm hasn't been updated? ery (talk) 19:08, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
Looks like another Toolforge hiccup, the "deploy new version" jobs kicked off when I push to AnomieBOT's git repo apparently can't be scheduled to run. I'll kick things manually. Anomie 23:28, 20 February 2019 (UTC)

Bot not substing Wikipedia:TWA/Invite[edit]

It still has several hundred transclusions despite being listed on the force list and categorized. ery (talk) 00:27, 27 February 2019 (UTC)

@Pppery: I think its because of the namespace that the template is in - other than , is the only non-template "template" to substitute... --DannyS712 (talk) 01:15, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
(edit conflict) Looks like it's not substing transclusions that look like , only . I should have the bot's generic "fetch redirects to" method pretend that namespace aliases are redirects. Anomie 01:17, 27 February 2019 (UTC)

@Anomie: That doesn't seem to have worked: the bot finished a TemplateSubster run and substituted Wikipedia:TWA/InviteTW but still isn't substing Wikipedia:TWA/Invite. ery (talk) 02:55, 27 February 2019 (UTC)

Hmm. Let's try clearing the bot's cache of "I already tried to subst Wikipedia:TWA/Invite on this revid". Anomie 13:48, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
That seems to have done it. Anomie 22:15, 27 February 2019 (UTC)

TfDClerk is too exclusion-compliant[edit]

I just excluded the bot from Wikipedia:Templates for discussion, and now it isn't updating Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Old unclosed discussions even though a discussion was closed. ery (talk) 21:58, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

Yeah, that'll happen. Don't exclude the bot. Anomie 01:08, 1 March 2019 (UTC)
@Anomie:, per WT:TFD#Page Size Exceeded, can you update bot code like CFDClerk: updating discussion section with a wikilink instead of transclusion. Thanks, Hhkohh (talk) 07:23, 1 March 2019 (UTC)
@Hhkohh and Pppery: You don't seem to have things structured like CFD though. And looking at the linked discussion, it's not clear you've even reached a final decision, versus but if the mass TfD goes closed, we should back to previous version.
My best guess at what you might want at the current moment would be for the bot to stop editing WP:TFD#Current discussions entirely, and to update WP:TFD#Old discussions with basically what it posts to WP:CFD/AC#Discussions awaiting closure currently. Or you might instead want to create Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Awaiting closure exactly like CFD has, so the bot doesn't have to edit WP:TFD itself at all. Anomie 22:38, 1 March 2019 (UTC)

I choose option C: code up a Lua module that synthesizes the table at WP:TFD#Old discussions from Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Old unclosed discussions and cuts the number of bot edits in half. ery (talk) 22:48, 1 March 2019 (UTC)

@Hhkohh and Anomie: Coded at Module:Sandbox/pppery/summarize page. Using CfD as an example:

Extended content

and that requires no bot updates beyond those already happening to the "/Old unclosed discussions" page. ery (talk) 23:31, 1 March 2019 (UTC)

*shrug* Sure. I'll have the bot stop editing WP:TFD entirely then. Anomie 00:34, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

Behold the end of the era of bots and the beginning of the era of Lua! ery (talk) 01:02, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

@Anomie: I proposed using the same Lua module for CfD, and got one two users in support and no opposition in two days, so could you have the bot stop editing Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Awaiting closure as well. ery (talk) 01:54, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

Minor edit request table suggestion[edit]

I suggest that the bot wraps the "count" in <section begin="count" /> ... <section end="count" /> (see WP:LST for a description of what those tags do) tags on the edit request tables, to make the count machine-readable. I currently have three edit requests open at Template talk:Protected page text, which is confusing the navbox into thinking there are two fewer requests than there actually are, and this would fix that. ery (talk) 20:46, 1 March 2019 (UTC)

To be clear, that would mean implementing this edit. ery (talk) 22:08, 1 March 2019 (UTC)
LST uses somewhat ugly syntax. But whatever,  Done Anomie 22:27, 1 March 2019 (UTC)

Merging Suggestion of RBI Zone with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) main article dated 31 October 2018[edit]

There seems no requirement of merging it with Reserve Bank of India so I am removing the tag for now. Please suggest any edit if required. Manupriy Ahluwalia (talk) 13:20, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

Edit to my previous comment: Your idea for merging seems to be correct. Am gonna merge it. Manupriy Ahluwalia (talk)

What does AnomieBOT have to do with this? ery (talk) 17:24, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
Any why were they talking to themselves about it here? Anomie 02:18, 5 March 2019 (UTC)

AnomieBot suggested the idea for merging, first I thought it should be not done but I agree now with you that's what I meant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Manupriy Ahluwalia (talkcontribs) 05:20, 5 March 2019 (UTC)

AnomieBOT didn't, the tag was added by Capankajsmilyo in Special:Diff/866584649. AnomieBOT merely added the current date to the tag. Anomie 12:06, 5 March 2019 (UTC)

Template substitution[edit]

Hi, when substituting templates as in this edit you also need to translate the month names in the date fields in to English. Keith D (talk) 22:12, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @Keith D: This is a problem with the coding of the template, not the bot. Pinging Wikid77, the creator of the template. ery (talk) 22:18, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
Pppery, Wikid77 is banned, so is not going to be able to help. Galobtter (pingó mió) 12:13, 5 March 2019 (UTC)
GoingBatty has a bot task that can fix dates in citation templates. It might be able to follow up. – Jonesey95 (talk) 22:22, 9 March 2019 (UTC)
@Keith D, Pppery, and Jonesey95:  Done! GoingBatty (talk) 02:15, 10 March 2019 (UTC)

Bot may need checking - malforming unsigned templates[edit]

Hello, see attached diff, It looks like the bot does not know who created the post - is this a bug, or normal (which I dont think it is???)? Thanks Nightfury 09:01, 5 March 2019 (UTC)

GIGO. The user who added unsigned didn't supply any parameters, as you can see in Special:Permalink/886280458. The TemplateSubster task doesn't know about or try to fix such things. Anomie 12:13, 5 March 2019 (UTC)
Ok. I'll inform the user that inputted it they need to add more to the unsigned tag to get it to work. Thanks Nightfury 12:30, 5 March 2019 (UTC)

TFDClerk:some questions[edit]

@Anomie: What is is unreadable in Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Old unclosed discussions? How can we resolve it? Hhkohh (talk) 15:12, 7 March 2019 (UTC)

It means the bot didn't find any tfd links templates in the nomination, so it can't check whether the discussion is bot-closable or not. I'll clarify that message.
Also it should honor sections that a human has already closed, like Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2019 February 27#Unused Chart subtemplates. I'll fix that too. Anomie 15:39, 7 March 2019 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Awaiting closure[edit]

Why has the bot stopped processing Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Awaiting closure?

Last edit 00:04, 5 March 2019‎[7].

(Please ping me in any reply). --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 06:57, 10 March 2019 (UTC)

@BrownHairedGirl: (talk page stalker) because of the next edit - look at the source for the page - @Pppery has replaced it with a module --DannyS712 (talk) 07:00, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
Ah. Thanks, DannyS712. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 07:04, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
BrownHairedGirl, See #TfDClerk is too exclusion-compliant and WT:CFD. So bot now only update one page now Hhkohh (talk) 07:57, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
BrownHairedGirl, the module will automatically summarize from Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Old unclosed discussions Hhkohh (talk) 07:59, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
Thanks, @Hhkohh. I see now what the module is doing. Looks good. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 16:34, 10 March 2019 (UTC)

Nomination for merging of Template:Show by date[edit]

Template:Show by date has been nominated for merging with Template:Display. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. Thank you. ery (talk) 01:43, 11 March 2019 (UTC)

BAG Status question[edit]

Hi. In the bot's edits to WP:BAG/Status, what is the usage of |class="MostRecentIsBAG" - is there a user script that relies on this? Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 11:19, 11 March 2019 (UTC)

It was requested in User talk:AnomieBOT/Archive 2#Wikipedia:BAG/Status. Anomie 18:57, 11 March 2019 (UTC)

old AfD multi[edit]

Sorry, I've never seen old AfD multi before so I'm unsure how to respond, or even if I'm supposed to respond. AnomieBOT added the template to Talk:M. Courtney Watson when the old AfD was about the same person, but her notability is now established. (Per WP:POLITICIAN, state legislators are presumed notable.) -- Pemilligan (talk) 13:04, 12 March 2019 (UTC)

@Pemilligan: The template exists to note that the page was nominated for deletion previously, which that one was. If the subject of the article wasn't notable then and is now, then you're good. Anomie 20:51, 12 March 2019 (UTC)

Thank you. -- Pemilligan (talk) 20:53, 12 March 2019 (UTC)

A small reminder[edit]

I would like to remind you that my bot request, stated in the page Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/Adithyakbot has not been considered within the last one month.Adithyak1997 (talk) 13:30, 17 March 2019 (UTC)

@Adithyak1997: AnomieBOT doesn't actually review bot requests for approval, just comments on them when there is an issue. As for the delay, its because you didn't transclude the BRFA properly - I'll do that for you in a second. --DannyS712 (talk) 16:46, 17 March 2019 (UTC)
