Your ongoing efforts to improve the encyclopedia have not gone unnoticed: You have been selected as Editor of the Week for your determination and dedication to help the encyclopedia grow. Thank you for the great contributions! (courtesy of the Wikipedia Editor Retention Project) |
Editor Buster7 submitted the following nomination for Editor of the Week:
I gladly nominate Eposty to be Editor of the Week for the quality of the effort they put in to what they do. Many one of their over 8,000 edits have enriched and balanced all five of the Major League Baseball Season articles since the 2011 season. He actively participates at 2015 Major League Baseball postseason, as he has in previous seasons. The same is true for the 2015 American League Division Series and the 2015 National League Division Series. Amazingly, 82% of his work is in article space. Another 16% is dedicated to the important work of facilitating team standing templates; a mostly hidden but extremely important task to the information on dozens of sport pages throughout the encyclopedia. That doesn't leave much time for talk or controversy. The job of updating and facilitating MLB records and articles and templates can be a tedious, tireless and thankless job. This award is but small thanks for the many years of positive activity that Eposty has donated to the encyclopedia. - One of the benefits of facilitating the Eddy award is that I get to meet quality editors like you. Too many veteran editors spend too much time at the various drama-laden pages of Wikipedia. They rarely take the time to see the hard working editors that fly under the radar of contention and strife and they begin to look at WP as one argument after another. Editors like you are the heartbeat of Wikipedia. Thanks for all you do. Happy New Year. Buster Seven Talk 17:10, 27 December 2015 (UTC)
Usage of hyphens[edit]
It appears PeeJay2K3 made a comment about your usage of hyphens on an article. I will be bold and start this thread on his behalf to allow him to explain what's wrong. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk • contribs) 18:47, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks, Jd22292. To briefly summarise, it is incorrect to hyphenate every single use of "X of Y". In contexts where it is followed by "passes" or "catches" or some such (e.g. "Keenum completed 25 of 40 passes"), there's no need to hyphenate. However, in other situations (e.g. "Brees also finished the game 25-of-40"), you should hyphenate because the "25-of-40" part is a term of its own. – PeeJay 18:51, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
ITN recognition for 2020 World Series[edit]
On 28 October 2020, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article 2020 World Series, which you updated. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the candidates page. —Bagumba (talk) 06:30, 28 October 2020 (UTC) |
DOY edits[edit]
Hi there, your edits to DOY articles to remove blank lines before the sub-headings do not, as far as I can tell, make any difference to the look of the finished article. They do, though, make it more difficult to see these sub-headings when editing the articles. Would you please stop making these edits, or explain why you are making them? Thanks, Kiwipete (talk) 07:00, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
- I see you're still doing this. Would you please explain why, or else stop it? Thanks, Kiwipete (talk) 08:03, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message[edit]
April27th, 2014[edit]
What do you mean by that is their not enough information for that day or something? You can look at the history of that day or the outbreak that unfolded across Arkansas an it has information Colin777724 (talk) 15:13, 28 April 2022 (UTC)
- The first bullet point when editing a page in the "days of the week" is:
- Each addition now requires a direct citation from a reliable source on this page supporting it. Simply providing a wikilink is not sufficient and additions without direct sources will be removed.
- You didn't post a citation, thus it was removed. posty (talk) 16:44, 28 April 2022 (UTC)
