Located in the Northern area of the Atlanta metrpolitan area, the Sixth district of Georgia, in its present location, has been represented by Newt since 1992. Previously, the Sixth district was located southwest of Atlanta. Counties in the Sixth district include Cobb County, Fulton County, Gwinnett County and the southern end of Cherokee County.
