Background

>>iceflow>> is a curated presentation of web projects by Canadian artists. The exhibition will be situated within a context of live forums and discussions held on this website. 8 artists' web projects from across Canada have been chosen by the co-curators for inclusion in the show.

>>iceflow>> will contribute to the much-needed presence of Canadian artists on the World Wide Web. The role of the curators in seeking out current Web art production in Canada will help strengthen the emerging network of artists and organizations with an interest in investigating the cultural potential of the web. Critical material developed for the show will remain published here on the InterAccess website as an ongoing resource for the further development of an artistic practice.

An artist talk will allow a selection of the artists represented in the show to present their conceptual development and the creative process they have applied to the medium and a panel presentation will provide an opportunity for media commentators and practitioners to discuss some of the critical issues surrounding the emergence of the web as a medium for community building.
Please check schedule for time and dates of events.
