People keep telling me that it's only a phase

They are right for it is only a first stage
Of my rites of passage
Toward lesbianism
Heterosexism:
A prism
That distorts their views when they choose
To look at the world through it
But then it is only a phase
That will eventually pass
When they have transformed themselves to the stage
Of acceptance and let go of all reluctance
To see, to accept the truth in the beauty
