Message: | Read yesterday's Counter Intelligence article in the L.A. Times about this place and was intrigued. As it happened, I had to be downtown after lunch, so I tried it today. When I got there at noon, I was surprised to find that I was the only diner! So much for the power of the Times. By the time I left at 12:45 p.m., I was still the only Anglo there, but I had been joined by a few other Korean couples. Anyway, I ordered the black pork belly at the enthusiastic suggestion of the owner, after I considered the alternative of the pork belly with wild salt. At $15.00, this was easily enough for two; especially with the side dishes. I won't duplicate the review in the Times except to say that it was terrific, although I would have preferred the pork to have been browned a bit more before it was served. If you're in a pork eatin' mood (Korean style), this is definitely a place to check out! |
