They called it "Woodstock in a month."
The legendary weekend of peace, love and music took a year to plan. Toronto's Rolling Stones concert was expected to pack about as many people into Downsview Park for an 11-hour concert as headed for Max Yasgur's farm in upstate New York in 1969.

But Toronto's show was officially in the works for only a month, since June 24.
"It's a huge undertaking for everybody," said Jake Berry, production director for the Rolling Stones. "This is Woodstock in a month."
There were nine screens and 36 audio towers. The stage, sound, lights and barricades were brought to the site on 47 trucks.
The Stones arrived Monday night, stopping over in Toronto between concerts on their European tour. Berry told reporters at the Downsview Park site on Tuesday that everything looks great for the show.
"What more can you want?" he said. "It's Wednesday, it's Toronto, it's the biggest rock show in the world."
