Have Gun – Will Travel was originally broadcast in the 1950s and followed the antics of a gunfighter-for-hire. Apparently the program will be updated for the 21st century and will see Eminem adopting the role of bounty hunter, perhaps in his hope city of Detroit.

The following represents a small excerpt of something written and handed to me by a dear and close personal friend of mine…

....a measurement of the INCLUSIVE factors of a given problem so as to arrive at a conclusion which will give predictable information without any opposite sides to it. To be able to know what happens, what exists, the way it happens and the way it exists, reduces shock from the environment. Knowing, instead of guess, hope wish, theory or belief, is a direct step towards sanity and reality.

We find many people, both authors and “authorities”, who proclaim that they know something and they do so without giving any valid proof or evidence to support their claims or themselves. It is expected by them that what they say be accepted on their “authority” alone. This type of person is one who has nothing but opinion which he has built up by a preclusion drawn before the “facts” are in. An opinion must use, prejudice, bias and hostility, (in the form of defense) to continue because “feeling” has been used in place of fact. One fact can destroy the most beautiful opinion, therefore opinion is useless and invalid when it relates to life or mind and knowledge of it.

In meta-physics and philosophy there are many who mention “things” and completely fail to identify and offer proof of the “things” mentioned. Some of them use two words.. “things beyond”. These people are expressing nothing but hostility. Pushed into the question of “what things beyond?”, they will admit ignorance or swing to an attack on the personality asking for validity and proof.

The above methods can be shown responsible for a vast majority of current malfunctions found today.

As an alternative the person exposing information will be one who says “it is” and adds because it has been measured and found to be so by this process, under these conditions or by investigation and evaluation.

The person who asks “what is the proof, or within what framework, or what is the reference, etc ? is extending the function and communication of reality and sanity in action.

However, should the person being exposed to the information ask questions ONLY to see if they CAN be answered, or to try and show the ignorance of the other person, or to produce a contest of the “intellect”, they are highly competitive on a hostile basis. Should this occur a useful method is to make the hostility “the subject” and to eliminate it by a technique of scientific examination of the malfunction. Hostility itself prevents communication of anything other than the hostility itself.

No matter what subject, be it science, philosophy, religion, metaphysics or ontology, any person who makes claim to experience with Supreme Being or masters, or whatever source, almost always forgets some simple facts. 1. In order to experience anything consciously, the brain cells must be changed somehow. Consciousness is being aware of the interplay of energies inside the brain. 2. The recordings contained in the form of energy patterns and cell charges in the neurons of the brain are limited to the contained formation built from the individuals experience and conditioning. 3. “Understanding” any experience is done with these prerecorded neurons. This means that any experience is colored and changed by the contained conditioning and modified to “fit” it.

A simple technique in helping to eliminate many of the above problems begins with the realization that: the purpose of any communication from anything is to transfer information. If that information is transferred is it not possible to measure this fact? If an experience has occurred to someone the experience becomes potentially measurable IF IT IS REAL. If knowledge or information comes to a person through an experience that information is the “thing”: which must be evaluated for reality. No person can, by his own authority or opinion, make something unreal to be real. Wish, hope, desire, or want used in place of accepting a fact is a method in becoming confused. Reality, the way something happens, stands alone. Reality is real even if there is not one human being who can accept it and act according to it. Trying to make nature FIT a pet theory, belief, wish, or hope defines how insanity has been built in the social order…. – name withheld

In response to a recent thread on the boards thought I’d toss this out there. Just an idea I’ve been kickin about….

When and where the first notion occurred is no doubt impossible to identify, but it probably began with some superstitious notion inside the mind of primitive man. His way of satisfying his curiosity, or fears. A way of giving some explanation to the unexplainable. “When” the first division occurred is probably equally unclear. Some of the subsequent divisions are easier to point to. God make thunder for example. Must give sacrifice, or consider any number of mythical figures, gods, devised not too long ago as in say Greek Mythology.

Organized religion has had its own share of subdivisions and subsequent skirmishes over who was “right” or which group represented the “chosen ones”.

And although it’s fair to say various “beliefs” have spawned themselves throughout different parts of the world as a result of “different” historical events, the usage of the mind remains very much the same.

While I’m unable to count the number of denominations, various ideologies that continue to proliferate today be it Christian, Buddhist, tribal, neoconservative, nationalist, or other… and while new subdivisions continue to break away and mutate as we speak, the polarization continues to concentrate and deepen.

During the “Crusades”, the brandishing of swords may have been bloodshed enough, but the scope of damage or potential was obviously limited to that of the weaponry itself and/or mode of transport. Modern man, unchanged in his thinking coupled with his ability in technological advances has become a much more dangerous animal.

I wish I could say there was a “simple” vaccine or “magic pill” available which might save us from ourselves, unfortunately there seems to be no evidence of such a thing coming about anytime soon.

Well perhaps there is one, sometimes referred to as…“the hard lesson”. Since we still haven’t caught on in spite of past dispensations perhaps we are due for another.

I was at the old forum for the better part of two years. In spite of the growing pains I’m still here doin all I can, pullin for the new site, being a total posting fool in the open forum and the awful truth of it is…

I have ZERO points.

Think about what this must be like for an old skooler like me. The blow to my cred and persona is no small matter. You see I’m just not gonna make much of… “a blahggarrr” , I’ve not submitted any headlines and I don’t think cuttin and pastin a headline already posted by someone else is gonna be looked upon too favorably. (GNN is my source for alternative media) So, by now your starting to appreciate that my conundrum is not just some trivial affair. But it gets worse.

Just today, I blew into some thread and indiscriminately called everyone in there A CUNT ! Thing is, the moment I hit submit I glanced up at the header and realized… oh oh .. phooooey ! Wrong thread altogether. This shit happens to me a lot. What I’m saying guys is that I’m entering old fart hood. I try to stay hip. My g/f thinks I am, but I’m almost positive that isn’t gonna go the distance with you counter culture gamers. (is that even a proper cliché ?) The number of actual threads I’ve started amounts to a solitary, one. And the sad truth of it is I went and dedicated my one and only to GNN’s very own nemesis, Izzy. There’s no reason to hold back and spare my feelings. It’s ok to agree my situation is truly pathetic.

I’m hoping Stephen or Anthony might set up a provision where I can just go in and buy a few… “consolation” points. But I got a bad feeling they’re not really warmin up to the idea.

Blogging is like, you know, actual journalism. And I just know I am so much gonna do a total face plant in that environment. You can probably appreciate I have about as much ego as the next guy and it’s prone to bruising as much as yours… maybe more, since there’s this image to maintain as one of the elders. So… do an old guy a favor. If by chance you notice some “headline” shiverin out in the cold waiting for the green light from the hive community.. toss me a bone in the form of a couple credits.
