Active Equipment

The new core of the network uses Cisco 6509 switches. The previous core used Marconi GSX ATM switches, which are now being withdrawn.

Radio Equipment

The radio equipment is being removed as it becomes redundant. The photo below shows the antenna being removed from the Kempe Centre at Imperial College London's Wye Campus.
