Tim trained at Sotheby's, London and has over 35 years experience in the Australian auction industry. During his career, Tim has presided over many of the largest Australian auction events. He has been responsible for growing the company into the largest Australian owned internationally operated auction house by turnover. Tim is one of a few specialists in Australia referred to as a 'Generalist' in that he has had vast experience across many fields. He is the longest practicing fine art auctioneer in the country.

James originally from Cornwall in the south of England conducted his tertiary education at East Anglia University where he excelled in art history. James was engaged by Bonhams, London as a furniture specialist. He subsequently gained valuable experience at one of London's leading antiques retail galleries prior to joining Bonhams & Goodman in Sydney in 2003. James has overseen exceptional growth in his department since his appointment. Numerous local and international auction records have been achieved in the Decorative Arts Department at Sydney sales in recent years.

Robert Glover is a passionate cars enthusiast who joined the Bonhams & Goodman Collectors' Cars department in January 2007.

Prior to joining Bonhams and Goodman, Robert worked for Bonhams in the United Kingdom - firstly in the automobilia department and then in the Collectors' Cars department.

Robert regularly competes in VSCC events in rallies, trials, hill climbs and races.

Dalia Stanley was engaged by one of Australia's former largest auctioneers, Geoff K. Gray, as a fine art specialist for over 10 years. She subsequently established her own boutique auction house, Stanley & Co in Sydney which she operated successfully for over 5 years. Bonhams & Goodman acquired Stanley & Co in 005 and appointed Dalia as a Senior Specialist in Antique Furniture and Decorative Arts. Like Tim Goodman, Dalia is one of the longest standing fine art auctioneers in the industry and is also considered to be one of the few senior 'Generalists'.

Giles was at Christies, South Kensington for 9 years where he was promoted to Senior Specialist in the Collectables Department before being appointed Vice President of Collectables at Sotheby's in New York. Giles moved to Australia in 00 and was appointed to Bonhams & Goodman as Head of the newly formed Collectables Department. Giles offers international experience in entertainment, sport, mechanical music, scientific instruments, militaria, natural history, vintage toys and dolls etc. Bonhams & Goodman is the only large Australian fine art auction house with a full time collectables department conducting sales of international
standing.

Anne joined Bonhams & Goodman in 2003 as Head of the Aboriginal Art Department. She comes from an academic background and undertakes research into paintings from many different countries and traditions. Anne also manages the Affordable Art Sales.

Virginia joined Bonhams in August 2007 specifically to manage Bonhams & Goodman's Bay East Art offering. Virginia has had over 20 years experience in the arts industry and has been employed in both the private and public sectors including Macquarie University Sydney, Museums and Galleries Foundation of NSW, and Penrith Regional Gallery. Virginia has worked in collections management, undertaken large cataloguing and research projects, written several published papers and provided acquisition advice to private individuals.

Alec was educated in England and America and started his career in advertising. He moved to Australia in 1964 and commenced a career working with books in 1970 operating The Rocks Bookshop in Sydney for 5 years. Alec's interest in books spans some 70 years - he became interested in books as a youth as his family had a large collection which was subsequently sold. He has been consulting to Tim Goodman and Bonhams & Goodman for 30 years. Alec assists Tory Page with appraising and cataloguing books and manuscripts.

James is the great grandson of Theodore Bruce who founded the family business in 1878. James trained at Butterfield and Butterfield, now Bonhams & Butterfields in San Francisco in the mid 1980s. He is a senior general specialist in Australian pictures and decorative arts.

Geoffrey graduated with an honours degree in fine arts from The University of Melbourne in 1992. From 1990 to 2006 he was employed by the National Gallery of Victoria and in October 2006 resigned from his position as Curator of Australian Art (20th Century) after a long and distinguished career. At the National Gallery of Victoria, Geoffrey Smith curated numerous outstanding and highly successful exhibitions of Australian art that toured nationally and attracted record attendances. He was also responsible for recommending and securing some of the greatest masterpieces of nineteenth and twentieth century art ever acquired for the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Victoria. Perceived by many as a 'leading curator of Australian art' in this country, Geoffrey is a world authority on many of Australia's most important artists.

Patti is an experienced gemmologist and auctioneer. She has for many years advised clients on the sale and purchase of fine jewellery. Prior to joining Bonhams & Goodman, Patti headed up the jewellery department at Leonard Joel Auctioneers where she worked for some 10 years before establishing her own auction and valuation business known as Sedgwick's.

David is one of the most senior car specialists in the country in years and experience. Prior
to joining Bonhams & Goodman in 1999 David had worked in the motoring trade for
50 years. He has been a sales executive at some of Australia's leading motor dealerships
including York Motors in Sydney and Lane's in Melbourne. During his career at Bonhams & Goodman as Head of Collector's Cars, David has been responsible for the sale of the motor car
collection of John Laws, Lindsay Fox, Julian Sterling and the late John Blanden, Gregor Rusden and Rene Rivkin.

Since 1981 Hamish has been involved in the manufacture of Fine Jewellery. As a former owner operator of a retail jewellery chain, a former buyer of diamonds, coloured stones & pearls and a former trader in antique jewellery through leading international auction houses in Geneva, London and New York, Hamish has developed a thorough understanding of the jewellery industry. His recent appointment as Senior Specialist, Jewellery, will assist the department in Sydney to provide its clients with unrivalled jewellery experience.

Prior to joining Bonhams & Goodman, Tory was the Senior Book Specialist at Lawson's Auctioneers in Sydney for 16 years. In the 1990s Tory gained qualifications in book binding and conservation. Over the years, Tory has sold large collections of books for and to public institutions and managed the sale of significant private libraries.
