Bonhams & Goodman Decorative Arts Department comprises a dedicated and experienced team of specialists covering Australian, Asian, English and Continental furniture, works of art, sculpture, ceramics, clocks, carpets, design and much more.

We hold four major sales a year in Sydney together with a number of on-site contents sales held throughout Australia.

Our specialists are always on hand to assist potential buyers prior to each sale. Upon request, condition reports can be provided prior to each auction detailing as far as possible the general condition of an item. For clients interested in obtaining a particular item, we offer a confidential specialist search facility. Once a suitable item is discovered, our specialists will ensure that interested clients are alerted.

For clients considering selling items, our team of specialists offer a free and discreet service. Home visits can be arranged, and in addition to the valuation itself, our specialists will be happy to discuss research and provenance, marketing strategies, transport and storage, restoration and conservation.

We are currently inviting consignments for our forthcoming sales in 2008. Closing dates for the consignment of items in forthcoming sales are set eight weeks before the sale date by which time items must be with the department.
