The Organizing Committee of the ESWC is proud to launch in Athens, Greece, its 7th season of competitions at the occasion of the first ESWC Masters of Athens, hosted during the Athens Digital Week, gathering more than 30,000 enthusiasts of new technologies and gaming from October 13th to 19th, 2008.

Co-produced by Aventurine SA, video games producer and e-sports pioneer in Greece, and CIP, Communication In Practice, the ESWC Masters of Athens will host the two first major international e-sports tournaments of the history of Greece, birthplace of Olympics Games. Played on Warcraft III and Quake III, the tournaments of the ESWC Masters of Athens will be rewarded with 30,000US$ of prize money and one direct qualification for the next ESWC Grand Final 2009.
