Arwing Landing is a website based around
the Star Fox games that have been released on the Super Nintendo, Nintendo
64, and Nintendo GameCube consoles. The site was originally a side
project inspired by a friend's fansite, but after my first experience building the site and writing content for it, I decided to drop my blog/game review website FGN and work on only aL. Since its creation in August of 2002,
the site has expanded in almost every way imaginable. Originally
only a Star Fox 64 site with an expanded preview of Star Fox Adventures,
the site now features full, detailed sections for all of the Star Fox titles, including details on the cancelled SNES title, Starfox 2.
aL is also home to the entire collection of Star Fox comics, (some of which can be found in high quality translations and resolutions no where else but here), as well
as a vast amount of screen shots and other media, not to mention an extensive catalog of Star Fox related memorabilia submited by viewers. Arwing Landing is also home to several exclusive pieces of artwork from Star Fox Adventures, never before seen in public anywhere but here. Our forums are also one of the few large, thriving communities left to focus solely on Star Fox, with over 300 new members in the past year.

Before creating Arwing Landing, I had worked on
around 3 websites. My first was Fox Gaming Network, which survived into 2003 but has since been left to the buzzards. Perhaps you can find it drifting through the net somewhere.
I also
made Silicon3d, which was a friends' game design/coding website, but whatever became
of it is unknown. Finally, there was Antic.net, a site that went
places fast, but was shut down due to many complications and my general
laziness. (In case you were interested, Antic was a news gathering site that posted articles from around the web that dealt with gaming. Of course, being pure html made that no pleasure to work on at all.) This all transgressed over the Summer 2001 - Fall
2002 time period.
After that, I've worked freelance on a few professional websites, but mostly I stick to working right here, by myself (no, I do not have a team of writers. Unless otherwise noted, everything on this site was done by one person: me.). It's not an easy job, but when there's so few SF sites left on the net, it wouldn't feel right to just give up.
But while websites are a rather large hobby of mine, I'm a true
gamer at heart. I'm a big fan of consoles and have been
playing them since the NES days. I'm not quite sure, but I
think my Star Fox addiction began when I got the game on SNES, and
then culminated with the N64 release. Man, did I waste some time with that one. Anyways, I still, all these years later, find the time for games, and Star Fox, and I am
actually called Star Fox, or StealthFox (my avatar since who knows),
in public. Like you care.

A few things you should know about AL. First
of all, not all the images used in the galleries and the comics are our
own, original content. They have been "borrowed" from
the websites listed in the Links section, so thank
them for it. If you have a problem with that, please whip out your
constitution and note that Mr. Clinton passed a law protecting my site
from lawsuits. If you're still not pleased about all this, I believe there's something called the "Fair use" policy. So, before e-mailing me, check to make sure that I'm acting in accordance with it. If I'm not, I'll try to work the problem out with you. But I will say this:
I did not remove a watermark from a single piece of artwork or screenshot
I have taken from somewhere else. This is a non-profit website made to for fans of Star Fox. If I wanted to exploit somebody's stuff, I'd be offering you a free iPod.
Once again, everything not in the media galleries is made by me, including
the layout, section logos, etc. The content is also made from scratch,
with absolutely NO facts or information ripped from anybody. Trust
me, I've spent an enormous amount of time putting this place together. AL is something I have nutured
to life for well over two years, and I take pride in having done it all
on my own.
That just about covers it, I suppose. If you have
any sort of question, drop me a line at stealthfox [at] arwinglanding.net
and I'll be sure to write you back.
