Van Hattum Award

American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation

The Van Hattum Award will be made to one individual in recognition of exemplary commitment and contribution to the delivery of audiology and/or speech-language pathology services within a school setting. A plaque and an award of $1,000 will be given to the recipient.

Capita Foundation

Annual grants up to $40,000(US) for cutting edge auditory research projects. Applicants with a Ph.D., pursuing independent research. Thinking outside the box is most welcome. University affiliation is required.

American Hearing Research Foundation

Dedicated to hearing research and is intended for more significant research projects requiring funding that extends beyond the normal AHRF grant of $20,000. $25,000 per year for two years.

2009 Annual Research Awards

National Organization for Hearing Research Foundation

In January, 2009, The NOHR Foundation will award grants of approximately $20,000 each, primarily in the form of Seed Money, for exploration into innovative research areas in the preventions, causes, treatments and cures of hearing loss and deafness. NOHR encourages proposals related to biological restoration of hearing. Grant support is generally provided for one year.

Research Grants

Deafness Research Foundation

DRF provides up to $25,000 per year for each research project. Continuation of funding from year to year requires reapplication and depends on significant progress as demonstrated in yearly progress reports.
