For Circus Theatricals: playwright and director of The Circle, The Job which won the Stanley Award & Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle Ted Shmidtt Award for "World Premiere of an Outstanding New Play."
For Circus Theatricals, Casey Biggs has appeared onstage in "True West" opposite Jack Stehlin in the Odyssey Theatre/Circus Theatricals co-production. He directed "Richard III," "Hamlet," "Hedda Gabler," "The SeaGull," and "The Three Sisters."
His long list of theatre credits include
"No Strings" (Broadway, City Center Encores,) the world premiere of "The Good German" (Westport Playhouse), the World premiere of "Shakespeare in Hollywood" (Arena Stage), the world premiere of Elmer Gantry (Arena Stage), the Los Angeles premiere of David Mamet’s "Speed-the-Plow," "Prides Crossing" Eric Overmyer’s "Dark Rapture," and "Exception and the Rule" (all at the Lincoln Center), "Twelfth Night" (directed by Michael Langham), "The Country Wife" (Garland Wright, dir.) and "Dubliners" (Paul Walker, dir.) among others. He has received five Helen Hayes award nominations for his work at the Arena Stage in Washington, DC., where his credits include "The Odyssey," "Long Days Journey into Night," "Summer and Smoke," and the premiere of the musical version of "It’s a Wonderful Life." Other credits include "A Streetcar Named Desire" (opposite Dixie Carter) and Marc Antony in "Julius Caesar" at the Marc Taper Forum.
Film credits include "The Shadow Conspiracy," "The Price of Freedom," “Dragonfly” with Kevin Costner, “Broken Arrow,” “Auggie Rose,” and “The Pelican Brief.”
Television credits include four seasons as Damar on “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,” "E.R." "Appearances," "A Promise to Carolyn," "The Great Wallendas," "Ryan's Hope," “Legacy,” “Giddeon’s Crossing,” “X-Files,” "Touched by an Angel," "Stat," "The Profiler," and "Melrose Place." Casey Biggs last appeared onstage in "True West" opposite Jack Stehlin in the Odyssey Theatre/Circus Theatricals co-production here at the Odyssey Theatre.
Directing credits with Circus Theatricals include the critically acclaimed productions of "Richard III "Hamlet", with Jack Stehlin (Odyssey Theatre/Circus Theatricals production) , and "Hedda Gabler" (Circus Theatricals at the Hudson Guild). Other directing credits include "An Evening of Shakespeare" (with Lynn Redgrave), "An Evening of MacBeth" (with Stacy Keach), "Prince of Players," and "Oleanna."
He is a founding member of Dearknows theatre company in NYC and LA’s Interact, and an alumnus of The Acting Company. He is a graduate of the Juilliard School. Casey is an Associate Artist of Circus Theatricals.
