Build the Ultimate Roller Coaster! |
To get an Ultimate Roller Coaster:
Build a coaster with a lateral 'gee' of 5 or less, a max speed between 55-70, and two or three drops.
Go into any park -- it's recommended that you make your first Ultimate Coaster while the park is empty, or with plenty of open room. Build a coaster ensuring that the track is nice and spread out, and that there are no sharp turns to slow the coaster down.
Halfway through building the coaster, make a spiral by stacking one pylon on top of another. Gently arch the track until you've connected the whole coaster.
Now, edit the two stacked pylons -- raise the first as high as you can before it goes red, then skip through to the upper stacked pylon and raise this as high as it will go before it goes red.
(Note that it's best not to adjust any of the other pylons as this can adversely affect the coaster's speed)
By following this simple formula, you should have won the Ultimate Roller Coaster Award (it's displayed in the blue Roller Coaster stats screen that shows up each time you exit coaster construction). If you do not see the Ultimate status, keep experimenting until you've reached success.
