New York Assembly passed a bill today, May 31st, 2007 that could make it possible to charge retailers who sell an M Rated game to a minor with a felony. Assemblymen from the State of New York were heard discussing the unconstitutional clauses in the law, but then turned around to say that they were voting FOR the bill. The law passed today by an overwhelming vote of 130-10. read more »

Japan's Ginza Tanaka Jewelers and toymaker Bandai Co. unveiled a miniature version of Japan's famous animated robot character - "Gundam."

Gundum is one of the longest running Japense animation series.

The figurine weighs in at 1,400 grams (45oz) and stands 13cm (5") tall. He is made of pure platinum which explains its name "Gundam Fixed Platinum."

At today's prices, melted down, he would go for $41,468!

If you have kids and you want to teach them hands-on about the power of the sun, Solar Dough is a good way to start. Watch them pull it apart and mash it back together as they "ooh" and "awe" over the different colors that it turns to in the sun. That's what my little ones did. It has been years since I've ridden a bike, other than a stationary fitness bike. I've thought about it a lot, but never really did anything to get back on one. Besides, there aren't many places around where I live to ride a bike without needing to drive several miles to a park. I could risk the busy streets, but I think my bravery flew out the window as soon as I had kids.

Then a few months ago my daughter received a bike as a gift and it got me thinking about how nice it would be to go bike riding with her, even if just at the park. It would give us a chance to bond more and exercise together. read more »

What do you get when you cross a willful, stubborn, potty-training toddler with baggy, saggy jeans?

Truthfully, I don't want to know. But thanks to sister inventors Talia Bahr Goldfarb and Danielle Bahr Eason, kids now have a simple way to keep their pants above their knees. Their solution? Myself Belts. These innovative belts snap around the first belt loop (so it remains attached at all times). After sliding the belt through the rest of the loops, the child simply secures the end with the Velco closure.
