Migration recordsOutward passenger listsMigration records [Passenger Lists] are invaluable in helping you find your ancestors. Board of Trade Passenger Lists, Outwards (BT 27), 1890-1960, contain the names of people leaving ports in the United Kingdom and Ireland for final destinations outside Europe and the Mediterranean. You can carry out a person search using the first and last name. You can also refine your search by departure port, destination country and destination port. A ship search will be available later in the year.
You can access the ancestorsonboard website free on site at The National Archives in Kew and the Family Records Centre in Islington, courtesy of findmypast.com. Please note that standard onsite charges for printing paper copies will still apply.
