Improvements to our services at Kew

We are making changes to enable us to integrate the services The National Archives offers at the Family Records Centre. This entails building works at Kew until spring 2008. As well as doing essential works to the fabric of the building, we are improving the layout of the reading rooms based on feedback from our visitors.

Closures and disruption at Kew

The National Archives is closed to the public from 1 to 16 December 2007 inclusive. Read our latest news and information about closure dates.

Plans for the new services

Look at the plans for all three floors, from the reception area through to the map and large document reading room on the top floor.

Family Records Centre closure

The National Archives intends to close its services at the FRC on 15 March 2008. Find out more about the closure of the FRC.
