Australia's Open Garden Scheme Australia's Open Garden Scheme is taking a summer break over December and part of January. The public openings will resume on the weekend of the 19th and 20th of January, 2008.
The Open Garden Scheme was launched in Victoria in 1987 and has gone from strength to strength in the years since. Here's a short - dare we say "potted" - history of the Scheme since its inception.
Along with the gardens open as part of the Scheme, there are other gardens which are open all year round. Take a look here.
