Sixers Charities - Your Sixers. Our Community.

Unique collectibles, autographed items, and one-of-a-kind experiences are posted on Sixers.com throughout the year to benefit Sixers Charities. More than $75,000 was raised for Sixers Charities through Sixers Online Auctions such as hosting a sleepover in the 76ers locker room, autographed retro jerseys, along with autographed team memorabilia and Sixers collectibles. The most successful auction is the 76ers Shirts-Off-Our-Backs. Each team member’s authentic, game-worn, autographed jersey was auctioned at the end of the season, raising over $18,000 for Sixers Charities.

Founded in 1996, Sixers Charities takes tremendous pride in serving the community and its children. By assisting organizations that focus on youth, recreation, health and education, our hope is to make a positive difference. We have helped create and assist in a wide variety of services, including educational and recreational programs, and provide tickets, autographed and promotional items, and publicity. Most importantly, the personal involvement and dedication of the 76ers family is what we hope will make Philadelphia a better place to live.

As partner and friend to the children of the Delaware Valley, the 76ers are primarily focused on helping kids succeed in school, form well-rounded lives, and, most of all, have fun. After all, children should have the opportunity to play, grow, dream, and ultimately, “win” at life. The Sixers reach out to area youth in many ways. The franchise’s programming covers an incredible range, from monthly reading appearances at local schools, to educational initiatives on the team’s web site, to refurbishing playgrounds, to providing scholarships for students. Each year, the club touches over 35,000 kids in the Delaware Valley.

Children, however, are not the only beneficiaries of good will, as the 76ers are honored to reach Philadelphians in other ways as well. The team supports area hospitals by visiting patients of all ages, host annual outings at seniors’ centers, sponsors an adult wheelchair basketball team, and honors local citizens for outstanding community service at games.

Since Comcast-Spectacor assumed management of the franchise, countless organizations have benefited from the 76ers’ commitment. Included in the lengthy list of beneficiaries are the White Williams Scholars, Magee Rehabilitation, Inner City Games, March of Dimes, Philadelphia Public Coaches League, Catholic Youth Organization, and The Ronald McDonald House.
