Hooty the owl, a cute way to say, Whooooo loves ya baby. This was done with #5 needle and #10 white crochet thread.
Working off ball, do white eyes and body:
R 12ds p 2ds p 2ds Lp 2ds p 2ds p 6ds p 4ds Cl do not turn
R 4ds + 6ds p 2ds p 2ds Lp 2ds p 2ds p 12ds Cl do not turn
Body:
LR 24ds p 1ds p 1ds p 1ds Lp 1ds Lp 1ds p 1ds p 1ds p 24ds attach tie and hide ends.
Wings;
Put needle through body, looking at good side of owl start at top, near eyes, and do 6ds pull off and put needle through body again and do 6ds pull off and do 6ds tie at ends of tail. cut and tie and work other side of wings, going from tail up to eyes so good side is worked.
Inside of eyes can be done in any color of choice, I used black:
Make two rings of 12ds each. Then they can just be popped inside of white part of eyes. You could also make smaller rings and make the inside of the black a color also.
Glue owl onto your card or letter head, and glue black eyes inside of white part of eyes. You will not have to hide ends on this if gluing to cards, but make sure you tie and knot on back side, so they do not show. Be careful if sending through the mail, if using beads etc.
