DSG - Distributed Systems Group, University of Portsmouth, UK
Mark Baker, who in December 2005 moved to the University of Reading,
founded the Distributed Systems Group (DSG), in 1998. The DSG was
involved in the research and development of middleware libraries and
tools for Grid and Cluster-based systems using Open Source software
and commodity technologies. In October 2006, most of the remaining
members of the DSG moved to the Centre for Advanced Computing and
Emerging Technologies (ACET) at
the University of Reading.
Effectively, from the 1st October 2006, the DSG no longer exists, its
staff and research has moved to the University of Reading.
