This is the your daily precipitation report form. The information you submit will be used to produce precipitation maps of Colorado.
Please make sure your entries are correct before you press the submit button!

Total Precipitation (in inches)
Precipitation (rain or the melted water content of snow) that fell in the rain gauge for the past 24-hours ending at 7:00 am today. If there was no precipitation, report 0.00. If some precipitation fell, but the total was less than 0.01 inches, enter T in the field.

New Snow Amount (in inches)
The depth of new snow that fell in the past 24-hours on your snowboard, measured to the nearest tenth of an inch. If the snow depth is less than 0.1 inch, enter T in the field. If melting has occurred during the past 24 hours, record the maximum depth of new snow before melting.

Total Depth of Snow on Ground (in inches)
Total amount of snow (new and old snow combined) on the ground measured to the nearest 0.5 inch. You may need to take several measurements and average them to get this data.

Core Precipitation (in inches)
The amount of water present in a core sample of the new snow on your snowboard taken with a 4 inch diameter rain gauge. If the amount is less than 0.01 inches, enter T in the field.
