Vashti Bunyan Tours With Vetiver, Juana Molina, Adem
Sure, Vashti Bunyan dug the Grand Canyon, sneezed out the Dust Bowl, and ate dinner off the plateaus, but her legendary travels are far from over. Bunyan will kick off 2007 by taking to the open road once again, playing shows on both sides of the Atlantic (which she can bestride without even stretching), accompanied for all dates by a trusty big blue ox named Vetiver.
The first set of dates has Bunyan across the pond, trading tales with Juana Molina, Adem, and Vetiver as part of the "0 Degrees Of Separation" tour, put together by the UK's Contemporary Music Network and produced by Twisted Folk. No separation means these four will be collaborating all willy-nilly onstage, so expect new sights and sounds, bull-ridin', coon-huntin', free-loggin', and such.
Then it's off to the wild frontiers and deciduous forests of the eastern U.S. for Vashti and Vetiver, who'll embark on a series of shows that will have them snacking on the Big Apple, taking shots out of the Liberty Bell, and crocheting with the Washington Monument.
After that Vashti will get cracking on a religious novel, called Pilgrim's something-or-other.
